Basically my point is that nobody with half a brain should criticize Banchero for answering a question phrased like that. Nobody, not even Smith would sacrifice hundreds of millions of dollars for 2 rings won being a role-player. A non-braindead way to ask that question would be "Which do you value more - winning or personal accolades".
If he answered he'd rather have the rings, Magic fans would've freaked out already because they aren't winning a ring anytime soon
He was my guy all along, was shocked he fell to 3. I don't remember a last minute change like that in awhile. I would have also been happy with Paolo.
He's easily going to be the team's leader. He's talking about winning games, being a team player, doesn't care about stats, and wants to make the playoffs. Look at last year with Jalen Green who said he just wants to be rookie of the year.... That's not leadership. Once Jabari Smith Jr gets his NBA rhythm, he's going to be the team leader.
It's on TV. Most people watch the first round, especially in the lottery. You got to make it longer for more commercial.
I like Chet for his defense, cutting, and shooting. I think Smith, Eason, and Garuba will be able to handle Chet if he tries to take them isolation.
I trust the guy who is focusing on making the team better, not on the guy who just wants awards, and improve his stats... I'm buying myself a Jabari Smith Jr jersey. He's a keeper.
I admit I didn't watch much of Jabari's videos so I don't really know much about him other than he's an elite shooter that can play good to great defense. Can he play the 3 or is he strictly a 4? If he can only play the 4, I wonder who will start at the 3 for us. Maybe KMJ?
