    At this point, I think they keep Gordon for now. As such, I think the depth chart will look something like...

    KPJ / TyTy / Nix

    Green / Christopher / Nix

    Gordon / Tate / Mathews

    Smith / Eason / Mathews / Garuba

    Sengun / Garuba / Boban

    If you drink the "NIX IS LIKE A LOTTERY PICK" kool-aid then he'd have to be the backup PG right? But I don't drink that sugary **** that puts you in the grave early.

    *I hope!!! Garuba looked so bad last year and I was so hyped for him... I hope he gets it together.

    I think that having a sharpshooting PF enables us to play Tate at SF.

    Gordon's got to come off the bench. He can't be your starting SF. If Eason isn't ready for one of the starting forward spots yet, it's got to be Tate or Martin at the 3, IMO. Personally, I'd like to see them move Tate and Gordon soon to make room for these young guys.

    See, I disagree. I think Gordon would have been an awkward fit with Banchero and Sengun, but with Smith and Sengun? I think he absolutely could start.

    I love Gordon, and he's more than proven his worth in his time in Houston. He'll go down as one of my favorites of the Harden era. But the man is not a starting SF. He'd be the shortest SF in the league by a pretty wide margin. He's at his best as a 6th man and has been for years, and ultimately it's time for the young guys to shine. He can still get his 25 minutes, but let it be off the bench. Or better yet, now's the perfect time to move him for future draft capital.

    I, personally, am much higher on TyTy than Nix. I don't necessarily buy that TyTy will take over for KPJ, but I think he'll lockdown the backup spot.

    Or maybe Porter isn't a good fit next to Green. He chucks and isn't a good playmaker.
