    It was rumored that on community exchange, someone bought all the Paolo #1 offers and started selling offers at -300 against anyone else going #1. That dude probably had intel source inside the Magic FO. This was the reason all the books switched to Paolo -200 right past midnight. Blatant intel leak.

    Is it more likely that Orlando was throwing smoke screen by saying they wanted Smith, or more likely that Stone's camp was throwing smoke screen by saying they wanted Banchero?

    At the end of the day, Banchero never worked out with Orlando.

    He could well be the best player in the draft, but Orlando never even worked out with him.

    I'm curious to know if there has ever been a player picked first that didn't even work out with the team that drafted them, seems pretty careless for a team to make this decision without at least putting them through their preferred drills.

    I mean, Orlando has the first pick, they don't really need to throw out smoke screens at all. Instead, they should have prioritized working out with all potential selections.

    Maybe. Paolo has the most tape and is probably the safest pick. He was the best player on the ORL board and probably on most boards among GMs if I had to guess.
