I guess the earlier picks have the opportunity to become better but the 2025-2027 picks and swaps have a good chance to be worse if they make the rights moves and have turned things around.

They absolutely can but... those are chances I'll take any day

The Nets picks also helps mitigate the worst trade in Rockets history a little bit as well.

Kyrie really is the type to leave because he feels disrespected and the vibes are fcking with his chi

the nerve, the unmitigated gall, to be asking for a 5 year max fully guaranteed after all the sh*t you’ve pulled

Imagine what Joe Tsai and Nets management were thinking when this Trojan Horse said he looks forward to managing the franchise with KD, Tsai, and Marks after they had just gotten swept…How delusional is this dude?

Was so clearly and obviously the correct trade, though even I did not think it would work out this well.

Truly laughable Ben Simmons was preferable to some.

You would never guess this is the guy tearing down a franchise:

That’s fine. Resign no show Kyrie to max. That is already stupid and nets are probably only team willing to do it knowing fully well it is stupid. People think it was the no vax thing but it’s not like he was reliable before that. The year before he missed multiple games at numerous times of the season because he was “sad.” He is also injury prone.

Kevin Durant is getting older and will likely be load managed like he was past few years. If he has to carry a team to playoffs on his own or if they have 1st round exit, he’s not wasting his time. He’s too much of a snake to deal with mediocrity or adversity. Injury concern is very real here and you don’t want to overwork KD in regular season.

Ben Simmons hasn’t played in like 2 years and needs therapy.

They tied up so much cap space on Joe Harris thinking his spacing was the missing piece. That contract is horrible and it severely limits how they can construct the roster. They have no picks or assets left to offload him. If kyrie and KD leave and they are stuck with Simmons/Harris contracts they are SCREWED. Harris isn’t worth that in a vacuum.

Lamarcus Aldridge and Blake Griffin are washed and they will be yet a year older. Rockets bout to poach Claxton leaving them with absolutely 0 front court. Bruce Brown might be on his way out.

That team is winning nothing. I was told this year the concerns were overblown and they’d be in conference finals. I was told I was classic overreacting. Well? How about that?

KD and Kyrie leaving the nets are screwed.
Kyrie signs for max - nets are screwed.

The Nets are screwed. Rockets like to screw.

Nick Wright pointed out that Kyrie already made choices that cost him millions... refusal to vaccinate was around 17 million and his criticism of his own shoe cost him his Nike contract.

this would be taking another 30 mil loss tho for next year

maybe the Lakers are so desperate they’d give him a fully guaranteed max deal the following offseason, but what if he pulls more stunts or gets an injury…he simply can not be trusted

Can we talk about how one player can destroy a teams future?

I hear ya Clutch on the non-value of 2023 but you never know. All we need is for them to fall into the lotto to have a chance of that pick leaping ours. Albeit small. The cool thing for us is that the picks after 2023 all seem to be gaining potential by the day. I think they collapse this offseason. They have to know they gotta get rid of Irving.

I know this sounds crazy but I just had the craziest idea. Trade Wall to Portland with picks for Bledsoe and Hart NG. Cut them. Move EGo for cap space. Sign Kyrie to max with provision that you trade him to Lakers. Take every Laker pick and swap in future in exchange for Brody. Tank, watch the bright explosion from afar with SPF10million and enjoy.... Just kidding. Can't get the framework to work right and it will never happen. Just thought it would be funny.

It is a bit crazy - but we can't S&T someone else's free agent
Also, the Lakers don't really have any picks or swaps!

we heard this same bullshit about Harden and Westbrook

Woj told us Paolo was falling to third until an hour before the draft.

the secret is, these guys are clearly losing their solid sources and are getting played over and over.
