7th pick was pretty publicly up for grabs, now I’d imagine it’s almost assuredly going to get moved tomorrow
Why do you guys assume it's up for grabs? Portland's new assistant GM straight up said he would take Sharpe if he was in Portland's shoes on woj's podcast two weeks before he was hired.
I'd like to get 7, but there is no way I'm moving the 2026 Nets pick at this point. 17, 26, and EG for #7....maybe toss in a second.
[Edwards] It was widely expected and rumored that Grant would bring back, at minimum, a lottery-level pick in a deal. That, clearly, did not happen here, and, per sources, this deal is the best offer the Pistons have received on Grant, even dating back to February’s trade deadline
That was before Portland made an obvious ‘win now’ trade that honestly was a steal for them. Keeping Lillard happy means getting a quality player instead of waiting for a rookie to develop
It didn't matter if they did this trade or not Portland was keeping the pick and drafting Sharpe with or without Lillard being happy, and Lillard has said he likes Sharpe... As an organization you're not hiring this guy when his opinion about what you should do with your 7th pick is public Also expect Portland to tank if they're looking like a play in team because Mike Schmitz considered victor Wembanyama the best prospect he has ever evaluated.
