I've been promoting Chris Boucher (UFA) No free agent with Bassey?
Looking the machine, Reddish and Rose for Gordon also works. Rose’s contract has a club option next year. Could also throw in KMJ and it still works.
good point . The only problem I see with adding salary later is that now you’re cutting in to when green and then are actually good and we start having to pay them . Granted , at the beginning of that . but I doubt we will want to take back a longer term contract , then have to go over to sign green and other rookies from his class / players from this incoming class . We all know tilman ain’t gonna pay the LT . like you said , we have massive space for that year . I wouldn’t mind cutting into it , if the price is right . Us using all 50-60 million efficiently seems like a long shot to me .
Some of you are forgetting how valuable EG can be, especially in the playoffs. For all of his faults (injuries, ball handling, etc.), he brings some very valuable traits to a contender... - Borderline elite 3pt shooting with extended range (creating more space) - Clutch shooting (dude has made some huge shots for us) - Ability to get to the hoop and strong finisher (when his shot is off, he can always get to the basket) - Versatile, stout defender, who works well in switching defense - Good/solid teammate/leader - Only one more contract year guaranteed Note: Two of teams interested (PHI and PHX) both have stars (Harden and Paul) that know how valuable EG is. I could also see MIA lurking in the shadows trying to snatch him for #27/D. Robinson. MIL could be another team that is interested. I would love the NYK deal that includes #11 and Reddish. Reddish is type of wing we need to take a flyer on and moving up to 11 could get us a really good player.
Knicks have the best "reported offer" lying around. Hell no to the Heat. We should not be trying to get Duncan Robinson contract unless its for multiple first round picks.
wouldn’t touch that Duncan Robinson Miami offer with a 10 foot pole. For a really talented young player, how come Reddish is being traded for his 3rd time? I too would be super excited to move up to the Knicks pick…to take Griffin or Sochan (but I’m worried they are actually targeting Deing). The question I have is, do the Knicks want EG? Does he makes sense for them? My understanding is that the old regime really liked him; he would have signed there if he hadn’t signed in Houston all those years back. Also, does EG want to go to the Knicks at this stage of his career? I doubt it. So I’m not getting my hopes up about an EG to the Knicks trade.
Yeah, the Duncan deal is the anti-Morey method (don't pay the _____, find the next _____ ). MIA is shrewd and I would avoid Riley if I'm Stone. Good question on Reddish. However, ATL and NYK are both trying to compete now and might not want to develop or work with Reddish, but yeah we should do our homework on him before pulling any trigger. However, the return is much more attractive than any others I've heard about.
Man. Let EG go to Phi. Deserves a shot on a winning team. Earned it. Take the 23, pkg with 26 and KMJ or whoever to move up into the teens. At the very least, it gets you 3 spots higher. Then they can select a euro at 26 to stash or try and trade for a future first. Another asset to possibly move up for a top pick next year.
I get the pick but Charles Bassey as a prize? He is a late second round pick that only played in 23 games and averaged 3 points and 2.7 rebounds. That doesn't exactly scream prize to me. What am I missing?
