What was the Lindor swipe at the ball with the bat from Maldy's hand about? We could be brother in laws and that ish ain't cool.
Not that this is an actual revelation to anybody, but tonight showed why Dusty needs to abandon his lefty BS. Tucker should always be behind Yordan, no exceptions.
I'm wondering if Siri's showboating was a response to Alonso's homer? His homer wasn't anything special, distance-wise, and they were down 7-0 at that point anyway. Yet he still did a little bat flip.
I quit drinking beer about a year ago and lost 40 pounds after switching to vodka sodas. Cracking a cold one for day games like these is special for me.
I disliked Gomez very much when he was here but in Siri's defense, the league has changed alot since then. Seems like bat flips and celebrations have been embraced more than ever this year. A wise move by MLB since all the kids do it now.
Is there a different camera angle out there of Lindor's bat swat towards Maldonado. Looked super dangerous on replay. dude should have got tossed right then and there.
I thought policing the way players responded to their home runs had died out... You only have so many home runs to hit in a career that could end at any time. Just enjoy it, especially moon shots like the one Siri hit yesterday.
Policing as far as retaliation has died away mostly. However all that happened here was some jawing and a conversation. There has to be a balance between celebrating what could at any time be your last homerun and sportsmanship towards the other team. I would say for the most part - get over it. If you don't want to watch that then don't give up the homerun. Siri could be optioned to AAA tomorrow and never get back to MLB. celebrate while you can. 90% on Siri's side 10% on Mets.
