Assuming the trade has been agreed on with a pinky promise, breaking the pinky promise would basically mean the Rockets would not be able to make trades with the other 29 teams for the foreseeable future due to a lack of trust. Keeping Wood would not be worth it.
Media needs something to tweet about and nobody gives a **** about what the Kings do, so may as well create some artificial drama at the top. Banchero probably picked out his locker while he was here.
OKC is a good spot for Chet creators like Shai and Giddey, and no competition in the frontcourt…OKC is also highly regarded when it comes to player development the worst situation for any of these prospects is Orlando
going back on a trade agreement is absurd unless it’s an IT situation where the Cavs found out just how fcked his hip truly was…not to mention bringing back a player u clearly don’t want and had traded is not gonna work out going back on a trade agreement for the likes of Christian Wood is a felony
Yeah, I think Jabari is a unique talent BUT he'll be labeled a bust in Orlando than have a career revival on another team.
by no surprise nothing has changed here with who Bilas believes is 1/2. And this coming from a huge Duke supporter for obvious reasons NBA on ESPN on Twitter: ".@JayBilas thinks Jabari Smith should be the No. 1 draft pick "With Jabari Smith you have somebody who compares a little bit to Kevin Durant." https://t.co/IqdsRfFY9O" / Twitter
With #3, the Rockets have nothing to be coy about. It's a three man draft and they get the last pick. No real choice or uncertainty. Of course they are going to talk up the guy who looks to be there at #3. If there's a surprise, they'll say Jabari or Chet was the one they wanted all along. Regardless, they will keep the third pick. No need to put out rumors about trades and such. Both OKC and Orlando have a motive to be secretive to see if they can squeeze some assets out of somebody. This isn't 3d chess folks. We're in a place where we're going to get a really good player and right now it looks like Banchero is that guy.
Rockets tipped their hand but the Magic, who plastered Jabari Smith working out for them all over the teams social media and totally threw up on themselves by not procuring a workout with Paolo Banchero, have totally not tipped their hand.
But that was sent a bad president to the rest of the league and you will get terrible offers and people hanging up the phone from other teams. The damage it will cause, it's not worth it and good luck finding a first round pick for Wood if they do that mess.
Lmao no he doesn’t. He’s nothing like KD. Not even close. He’s more like a Rashard Lewis who plays better defense.
As NBA fan I'm excited whoever Rockets pick in this draft but I can't lie, currently prefer Paolo to go to OKC and Chet to go to Houston.
Jesus… Nate Duncan sucks as a hype man. Says Banchero is really good…. then says Banchero isn’t a really good shooter… isn’t really efficient on offense… doesn’t finish great…. Not great on the boards… and then compares him to “Detroit Blake Griffin”…. WTF Hollinger then says he isn’t a great defender. They did say he is a great passer for his size.
I watched a lot of Jabari in college. At no times ever when watching him did I think to myself, "wow, there's a little KD in there!!" Lol JJJ, Al Horford, Rashard Lewis all came to mind. But i do think he can get better and eventually have a LITTLE KD in his game.
