okay, so no Duren or Mark Williams. No bad shooting wings, concern about PF redundancy. They want to move up, more than a couple spots. Look for a wing.

I think we are trying to move up to get AJ Griffin.

coming out of this thing with Paolo and AJ Griffin would be a coup.

Griffin is not my favorite trade-up target.

Griffin has an injury history which might cause him to slip. Also, teams worried he might just be a shooter and not provide anything else.

With his elite shooting efficiency and insane work ethic I bet on the 18 yr old guy to overcome injury history. Slim him down and let’s go!

Ousmane Dieng or Adrian Griffin Jr. Are the targets.

man I feel like Deing would be a huge gamble that early but it’s crazy all of the reports about how much teams like him. There’s reports he could go top 10. I’m not seeing Giannis but all of the overseas analysts I trust are super high on him.

Getting Deing so we can have a French guy on the roster for Victor Wembanyama.

I'm certainly higher on Dieng than Griffin because Dieng shows significant ball-handling skill for someone almost 6'10. He moves like a guard. In another thread, I compare him with Shaun Livingston.

Griffin has talent but has almost zero defensive fundamentals at this point. His tape is ghastly. That's the friendliest word I can use to describe it.

i hear ya. And it’s impressive how smooth Deing’s handles are for his size; that jumps off the tape. But Jovic is also like that. I just think he’s super super raw. Would love to see another year of pro ball before I gamble a lotto pick on him.

griffin I feel is being underrated because he didn’t stand out on a crowded Duke team coming off injury. I think his shooting is special and I like guys that can still impact the game without the ball. His defense needs to improve; I doubt he’ll ever be more than an average defender, but he’s so young and has the right mentality, I think he can improve the other parts of his game. He did what Duke wanted him to do but I think there’s a lot more under the hood. Same with Paolo too.

Hope we can trade up for Dieng that is the only guy I can think of that the rockets want who is not just a two spots up kinda guy.

Garuba and Eason do not really overlap.

Garuba is a 4/5 while Eason will be a 3/4.

You can get this guy without burning a draft pick on Dieng or Jovic.

    6'10 point forward Vrenz Bleijenbergh:

I think they don't want two non shooters on the court at once, the more I think about the rockets wanting a wing with their second pick.. the more I think it's Dieng 6'10 can play make, can be a good defender, was becoming a better shooter near the end of the year. looking at all the teams the only one I see drafting him are the Spurs at 9 and if they pass on him I can see him falling to 17. Plus Dieng is French and I think we want victor next year.

I think with the nba going small, the Rockets should go big. Trends are reversed all the time in the nba. I see Banchero as the 3, Sengun as the 4 and Koloko or Mamba at the 5. Eason or Dieng can play and move guys over. Guruba can do the same, but its about maximizing players.

    They want Dieng over Eason???

    Talk about non-shooter.

Dieng shot under 30% from 3P while Eason shot 36%.

And let's not even talk about their TS%, FT% or eFG%.

Dieng is a 2 year project - offensively AND defensively.

    2 years - MINIMUM.

And that's just to get him on court for rotation minutes. Dieng plays scared AND soft.
