I am one of the few that think Wall could / would help the rookies & sophomores on the team. Move Porter to the other wing and let Wall make plays. He did earn his contract. Wall / Green / Porter / Sengun & #3
I think it's worth a try. We definitely need a vet on the floor and the best place for a vet is PG. It's time to dust the cobwebs off and see what he's got left in the tank. Hopefully build some trade value by the deadline.
I'd make him suit up and just sit him on the end of the bench each and every game. Humiliate him for wasting our money.
Christopher is worth the No, the definition of “stupidity” is paying a guy 45 million dollars a year to sit his arse on the bench and not play a single minute while wasting time playing Dennis Schroder and Gordon 25+ minutes a game. Makes no sense at all. We’re talking 45 MILLION DOLLARS!!!
His contract is 1/3 of the cap space it would be next to impossible to move him mid season. I want to play him because he once was a 10 dimes a night guy. Wall knows how to play. I really don’t think Porter will be able to help Green & #3 plus keep Sengun & the others happy. I want to play Wall not because of his paycheck but for the reason his check is so large, his skills. Yes he is not an all star anymore, but he understands how to be one. I truly believe if Wall was completely comfortable and committed then he would average 12 assist a game within a system. He has the ability to unlock the talent around him. Remember he would be playing for his legacy which has more value then his check to him. If he played he would help the development of the core —> Green/#3/Sengun.
Good post….simple solution, get rid of Schroder and Gordon and give the 45 million dollar employee their minutes. The year off was probably great for the full healing of his leg. Use the guy at least until we’re eliminated from playoff contention and if disappointed then dump him and play the kids.
Can’t disagree with that, but you don’t want to throw good money after bad and let our young guys needing evaluation rot on the bench.
Wall has 0 chance of being on this team in 1 year. Why on earth would you play a guy who isn't part of your future and actually hold you back from developing your young talent? Look at the downside Less minutes for the players you want to develop More hollow wins to give you worse draft position. It's like a double negative. Bad on two fronts. Play the young guys.
Your post makes you sound like someone with personal issues. Why would want to humiliate him? He been a great teammate. He could be in the media making it harder for the entire organization. Wall has been very classy in most situations. Remember we knew his contract before the trade and still made the trade anyway.
