Denial is more than a river in Egypt I see.

Changes needed to be made and heads had to roll because of the abject failures on defense.

Defense is all FO and Silas have talked about after season ended and prior to draft.

When a team is trying to lose, the team will have holes that won't be addressed. We tanked at it WORKED.

On another note, I'm glad the FO did NOT listen to you and trade for Ben Simmons. Had we took your advice we'd have little to no picks and our best player sitting on the bench refusing to play. Denial?

The key is to get rid of Silas. The guy is out of his depth

maybe. he's also had no talent and a weak staff to work with. I can't say he's done a great job either. I'm interested to see how he does this year with a new staff, added talent, and a plan to reintroduce more depth to his playbook now that he thinks the kids can handle it.

if things still look a mess then its on him.

    • A few weeks ago, The Athletic reported on Rio Grande Valley Vipers head coach Mahmoud Abdelfattah being a strong candidate to join Stephen Silas’ staff. Concerning Abdelfattah, the deal is essentially done, and it’s a matter of when, not if, sources told The Athletic. The seemingly long duration of Houston’s search has prompted some discussion from Rockets fans on social media, but the Rockets are giving Silas the time and freedom to form the exact type of staff he wants. The Rockets believe in Silas and want to ensure he has the right support around him, especially heading into a pivotal third season at the helm. This might not have been the case two years ago when Silas was initially hired and his staff was put together rather quickly.

    • The Athletic also recently reported former Hawks assistant Melvin Hunt being named as a candidate. The length of Silas’ list of options is unknown at this juncture, but another name that’s emerged is Lionel Hollins, sources told The Athletic. Hollins, who last served during the 2020-21 season as an assistant under Lakers head coach Frank Vogel, is widely known and respected for his defensive acumen, dating back to his tenure as the head coach for those stubborn grit-and-grind Memphis Grizzlies teams from 2009-13.

I Guess with everything Silas put up with they are going to let him rid out his contact and give him a chance to earn a second one. getting Pick one in 2023 is critical for Silas in hopes of keeping his job because Victor is talented enough to make you a play in/play off team, if by some chance you get to round 2 of the playoffs he might get another three years.
