Anybody that watched a masterpiece like BB at FF is suspect but you do you.

No, it does not take a genius to watch it faster but it does tell me a lot about the person who does and it's definitely not telling me they are a genius or very interesting.

I mean you missed the fact that WW was a huge kingpin I wonder why?

Huge kingpin? Because he took over Gus' side of the business for a couple of months then had the Aryans take it from him? You call that a huge kingpin? Tells me a lot about the person indeed and I agree, it's definitely not telling me they are a genius or very interesting.

Yeah, you do you, but BB remains just a highly overrated show. Feel fee to disagree.

Nuance and character development? Oh, my wife cheated on me, oh no, gotta get my family back. Oh no, can't let our son knows our family business. That's more than half the show. I can recommend many family shows for your "sophisticated" taste, they are all like the Kardashians.

Gus had the entire southwest and the inroads to Europe on lock, not Walter. He just temporarily took over after he killed him. Low standards for a so called crime lord.

Dude…what are you talking about. Im really thinking you didn’t watch the show he didn’t take over Gus op, the entirety of the first half of season 5 is how he built it from the ground up with Mike and Jesse

there’s even a line where they literally acknowledge this, you’re trolling at this point

“walt: let’s just do what Gus did

Mike: just because you killed Jesse James…doesn’t make you Jesse James. Fring built his distribution network from the ground up”

walt didn’t have Gus’s network and it was said verbatim in the show. I really don’t know where you’re going with this because it doesn’t even fall under critique of the show, it’s just plain false. We get it you don’t like it you’re entitled to your opinion but you’re here falsifying the plot..

LOL alright, maybe Walt wasn’t the only one who got cucked….you wanna tell us something here? There’s a little too much personal angle to be simply not a fan of the show

anyways you and WW got your own things to work out

    “He wasn’t even that big”

    wait…nvm

“he just took over Gus business!!”

Except he didn’t…I guess this is why you don’t speed through shows lmao

Did he not use Lydia, who worked for Gus at Madrigal, to help him reestablish the meth business Gus had created? It wasn't after the DEA derailed his plans with Madrigal that Walter contacted Declan. Meanwhile, it was Lydia who kept running the European side of things, who was connected to Gus.

I'm not saying he exactly copied everything verbatim, just that he was basically taking over his already established empire and retired after a few months. And it was the connections to Lydia that eventually caused the downfall of his so called crime lord empire when the Aryans became more involved and took over because unlike a real crime lord, all the real criminals were working for someone else.

I'm not saying it's a bad show. I am saying it's overrated in how well regarded it is. I understand I'm in the minority as it's a beloved show, I'm saying for me personally there are much better shows out there.

PS: Sensitive about cucked? I guess you speak from experience? You might enjoy the KUWTK after all, seems your kind of show after all.

Gus is the real mastermind, he set up that business coming from nothing. Taking over when everyone else was dead was not what made Walter shine, it's his ability to eliminate threats and overcome people trying to destroy him.

Too bad he couldn't overcome his own family.

Yeah, he is just trolling at this point or wants to be The Guy who is so above it that he does not think BB was all that.

The Crazy part is that he big-ups The Wire which did have a lot of action as well and never had a kingpin as large as WW.

    It's just crazy all around.

The way most directors film now days, jumping quickly from angle to angle and scene to scene, and most people having AD, it's no wonder someone wouldn't appreciate a masterpiece like Breaking Bad.

Reminiscent of people trying to tell me that The Godfather is overrated.

Big fan of both BB and The Wire, both are all time great shows. Although I have The Wire as the GOAT, watching Bryan Cranston's acting and character transformation was amazing.

Among criminals yes, Gus was a better crime lord, but Walt's transformation as an average person who finds out he's dying soon and fulfills his potential for evil to even become a crime lord was great imo.

Gus may have been one of the best crime lords in that show, but in NBA terms, Walt basically went from working a day job, to scrounging in an 80s meth trailer in his underwear to get a 10 day contract, then to $80-100 million MVP in two years.

    That ish is terrible directing.

I grew up on wire fu movies with low paid stunt workers who knew they might break something to get the shot right.

You'd think with more CG, those scenes would be more fluid but instead you got a couple drones for aerial shots, two hand cam lackies chosen for their Parkinsons, and a director behind another traditional camera strategizing how to make the scene as edgy and unwatchable with each camera chop because that "feeling" or emotion the viewer gets is Evocative...and cheap.

I mean, you cheapen action scenes, then you better have a better payoff because the bill comes due no matter what. People might believe 50+ yr old Tom Cruise or Liam Neeson is doing the fighting, but selling it is not through shaky cam and quick cuts.

Audiences aren't entirely dumb. They can be naive but eventually they expect more.
