If Stone or Silas don't know how to use a plus 3-D player like Eason then Rockets have much much bigger problems.

Assuming we are able to move from #17 to late lotto here is where Vegas is saying some top targets will be drafted.

    Duren 10-11
    Griffin 11-12
    Sochan 11-12
    Mark Williams 13-14

Dieng is a nice high reward player swing for the fences.

Ty ty gives me Maxey vibes. He will take the pg position in a heartbeat.

I wouldn’t take Dieng that high. 26 maybe

Mark Oluwafemi Williams sounds like a Rocket big man. With that said if either falls to 17 if is probably a steal. Both these guys would've been top 10 picks a few years ago but the position has been so devalued to the other extreme at this point.

“The Rockets are not expected to target a center in the draft, though with three picks that could change if a player unexpectedly slips from their evaluations to when they are drafting with the 17th or 26th picks.” — Jonathan Feigen

Im not surprised with Sengun, Paolo and Garuba needing as many front court minutes as they can get. I do think Duren has the upside worth trading up for, but I get not wanting to add another center.

with the two centers likely out of the trade up conversation, that just leaves Griffin and Sochan as the other guys who are special enough to trade up for in the late lotto range. Wonder if we’ll just punt 17 to next year. I’d be okay with that.

I think it's unlikely but if Daniels fell to that 8-10 range, he should be a target as well. Something tells me he won't get that far, though.

yeah I didn’t include him cause vegas has him going 7-8. I just don’t think we can get high enough to get him. But you never know I guess. Doesn’t seem worth spending what it will take.

Basically not interested in Kessler (Koloko/Jalin/Kamagate/Diabate?), and won't trade up for Williams or Duren

It's upto Silas to utilize him properly. Stone can only select him.

Maybe, it could also be a smoke screen.

Nah, some mocks have him at 12. Higher than Eason.

Just my opinion, but this guy is year’s away from contributing in the pros. He is skinny, timid, and hasn’t even shown a good 3 pt shot. To me he is a draft and stash candidate which I’m ok with at 26, but I think we need a long defensive wing with 17 if we stay pat.

I'd be surprised if we invested in a young center, though the one I like is super old-fashioned: Kofi Cockburn (6'11 without shoes, 293, 8% body fat). He's a winner and I hope he continues to work on everything. He's the sort of anchor that will get that crucial board when you need it.

As switch-crazed as the NBA world has become, he's going to have a hard time. To his credit, he ran a respectable 3.31 in the shuttle and 3.33 in the 3/4 sprint. That strikes me as quite athletic.
