Maybe. 6'5" shot 42% from 3 and was a good defender when he was here. Also got into trouble with KPJ lol I'd rather have him than Mathews.
I mean we would essentially have a low first round pick if we just got rid of EG at the deadline. Stupid of the Rockets to hold on to him till the off-season.
If we end up with Banchero / Eason, Williams, Or Duren. Nobody is talking about Wood come next Thursday at this time.
Wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being 26th+ Gordon to move up plus a lotto protected future pick, then package with the 17th to move up again to the Knicks or Wizards picks. Although I'd be ecstatic if we could someone flip Gordon, 26th, 17th, and a protected future first for the Kings pick. You'd have a core right there.
Man the kings would be the dumb idiots to do it. Package the Milwaukee pick too for all I care. Banchero and Ivey.
Another Cf's logic earlier this year. "I don't want another late 1st round pick in this draft if that's the best you can do for EG. too many picks in this draft" Gets late 1st for Wood. "Yesssssss we got a 1st!!!!"
Probably this. Wood came in here and a couple of months later we had no Russ, no Harden, no nothing. Since he was just coming off a season in Detroit where he got to show people he belongs in the league, he looked at the last 1.5 seasons here as a chance to show them that he's a bonafide starter who deserves much bigger money in his next contract. My goodbye to Wood is a glance at his most meaningful stat as a Rocket: 1 block per game in 31.4 minutes. Somebody wasn't trying very hard on defense, and that gives all us CWs a bad name.
sh*t, I won’t even be talking about him by tomorrow Reeko will never miss or lament Christian Wood, and if somebody ever sees me doing so, just know my account has been hacked
I am not so sure about that. Team after team after team passed on Wood for a reason. Putting up stats on the worst team in the NBA is not going to be as persuasive to the legion of front offices that passed on him as you think it is.
He's a 4 hr drive away and remains in the division. His presence will haunt you as long as hes still in Texas lol
Yeah I know the Kings are looking at trading down. I doubt they would want Gordon but...what if we trade Gordon to a team like the Heat or Philly or even the Hawks for an asset. Just offer the Kings a mix of players and young(er) talent to complement Fox and Sabonis. I think they're desperately trying to get into the playoffs. Who know though. More likely I think we trade with the Knicks and end up picking 10th, then trade Gordon during the season.
On one hand I seriously hope Dallas isn’t going to re-sign him to a huge contract because Luka deserves better than that. On the other hand **** the Mavs so sign away!
