Yeah, they are likely to trade up. Rockets don't want to have to develop too many young guys at once.
Wood is a good player. But an all offense semi ball dominant big is not what fits with the youth on this roster and what they project to be. I’m sure he will fit in nicely in Dallas. Probably will continue to score semi high volume on pretty good efficiency, but I still don’t think he’s going to magically become a rim protector there, which is why he doesn’t fit here.
Christian Wood never had much value…only delusional Rockets fans thought otherwise him being gone is addition by subtraction
Could the Rockets be sneakily trying to jump the early 2nd round picks to nab KIA SOTTO??? That would be awesome but I gotta feeling he gone go higher than 26 now
I don't subscribe to this logic, personally. Given how much Wood hurt his value last season, I honestly was pretty pleased to get a first rounder for him, even if it was a late first. If they could somehow get a first for Gordon, I'd make that deal, too. But ultimately, I just want to keep adding young players to the roster who will contribute to the rebuild and keep the veterans who help those young guys improve. Wood was not that guy, and if Gordon is, I'm fine keeping him around.
