Here is 6'10 Banchero standing next to 7'2 Williams, 6'5 Moore slightly behind. Something ain't right with these heights.
There was a discussion on Twitter spaces today. I was doing other things while listening but he definitely said something about getting Jalen Williams at 17. He could have just been speculating
Im really not trying to start a rumor. He was probably just speculating. I think Jalen Williams could be a really good defensive guard though. Especially matched onto point guards. He has a 7’2 wingspan and good lateral quickness.
Wow. I guess we don’t want that info out there if true cause we don’t want to get jumped. And if it’s true, I’m pretty excited because I’ve grown to think he could be really good, and potentially a better PG than anyone on our roster.
i've loved it then and i love it even more now. if you have a chance to add 2 go-to scorers in the first 2 years of your rebuild you do it. We are locked and loaded for the next 10 years with 1-2 Green/Banchero punch. Get excited.
More and more I am under the impression that we are getting a steal at #3, or that he won't even make it to #3.
That's what I have been saying about Smith it's why I move him to 4 especially considering terrible at the rim he was for a 6'10 guy.
Jabari's odds are tanking. If OKC steals Paolo I'm gonna be pissed. He's a perfect Rocket. He's big, can pass, has a pivot game, likes KPJ, hates the Thunder and has Olajuwon in his Top 5. Jabari is just 6-10 black Matt Maloney.
Just like I said the Banchero buzz is growing louder leading up to the draft, the fact that he measured over 6'10 without shoes means he is officially in unicorn status. And now the defense narrative is being put to bed. There is no way he makes past OKC if Presti is as smart as everybody claims.
Jabari would be an awesome fit and if we got him at 3 I would be happy, but I don't see the same upside that Paolo has at this point. Will be difficult for him to develop the playmaking Paolo has.
Yeah. What is clear is his playmaking potential and leadership. He was going to be an elite quarterback but chose to play basketball. He’s a really big guy that moves ridiculously quick and fluid. He’s going to be tough to stop from scoring and draw a lot of attention which will benefit the others since his goal will be to always find the open guy. He’s the one we can use to attack mismatches. I like him more than Jabari actually where teams will be able to focus on him. He lacks the mid range game and passing instincts that Paolo has and won’t necessarily make others better when games are in the line. More of a pure shooter/scorer.
