Who would have won a heads-up matchup between Pops Spurs or MJ Bulls? I've learned to never count out Pops when he's got the right staff. The Bulls don't sweep that series. Bulls would have had no answer for TD (just like they had no answer for Hakeem). Bruce Bowen could have done a respectable job against MJ.

Yea, I know. Point being, after this draft, the team is sufficiently restocked so there is no motivation to keep tanking. So I doubt we'll be dead last this season. Hopefully we make it to a play-in game, or better. We'll see.

That was very clearly stated as a "fun fact" meaning it's a sidebar conversation. That fun fact has nothing to do with last year. However, notice the "factual" part which is supported by actual evidence since you refuse to accept it. The actual point I'm making is the Rockets tanked two years in a row in the 80s and then the team improved, dramatically. I'm hopeful that history repeats itself. That said, I freely admit I doubt we'll be in the finals in 2 years like that team because I doubt we have the same caliber players as Ralph and Hakeem (which were both #1 picks ...but we didn't get #1 picks this time ...and wait for it, because of the draft lottery instituted in 1985).
