in the 5 seasons the rockets got worse and worse and look at them now continuing to be the worst in the league in record time. Which i called after the 1st season and his disaster start. And its still not getting any better anytime soon with the worst owner in the league. I really couldn't careless the way you see it. Years will continue to go by and youll still be sitting there wondering why this organization is as bad as it is when it was easily seen after the 17-18 season. Hes been owner for 5 seasons not 6. Starting with the 17-18 season. And in that 1st season the 65 win team was already put together before he became owner. Then in a span of 3 seasons it spiraled into the worst team in the league for 2 years straight and counting. LMAO
It seems like you don't understand what tanking means. lol. As tanks go, this has been VERY successful. In the past two seasons, we will come away with at least 3-4 building block type of players in just two drafts. This is all going to plan. We have a legit young core that could be as good as the Ralph Sampson and Akeem draft picks ...which propelled this team for several decades.
His hate for Fertitta blinds him, rockets could turn it around next year or in 2023, make the playoffs and he will still call him the worse owner.
it seems like you're the epitome of someone who doesn't understand tanking and just flat out sucking. Sucking comes with losing. You're under this impression that the rockets can win if they wanted to which is delusional and hilarious at the same time. The rockets will continue to suck for years to come
HAHAHAHAHAH make the playoffs. the rockets will be lucky to hit 30 wins going from the worst team in the league to sudden playoffs is just classic cf's logic The only people still blind are folks like you who are years behind and have a long ways to catch up
If he starts spending big on championship caliber role players when you have your cornerstones and stars in place, then yeah, no doubt, some of us including myself, will have to come around and praise him.....not until then. That said I really dislike his guts to be honest with you all.
The Spurs are in purgatory. Even the best organizations go through these spells. I give credit to Tilman for making the right move and going through a rebuild instead of trying to retool. That doesn't excuse his actions and meddling during the Harden era, but the important thing is going in the right direction.
Case in point: If the Rockets were actually tanking this year, there's no way they would've been allowed to win back-to-back games in Portland with the worst-record title on the line. This year wasn't a tank, it was a suck.
I don't see that as Tilman's decision at all. That's was all Harden's doing; the day he decided he wanted out of Houston was the day our rebuild became a foregone conclusion. You can't retool if Eric Gordon is your best player.
*LTS centric every year he has been owner. *Could not retain Bzdelik. *Badmouthed CP3 contract publicly. *Forced CP3>Westbrook trade against advisement of GM and HC. Publically bragged about this trade. *Lowballed, insulted and drove away HOF coach in D'Antoni. *Drove away top GM in Morey. *Promoted Stone w/o input from Harden/Westbrook. *Hired HC (Silas) that was not 1st or 2nd preference for star players. Harden preferred Lucas over Silas. *D'Antoni leaving created loss of confidence in ownership and was domino effect to departures of Harden, Westbrook, Morey, Tad.
Those aren't the only 2 factors the guy used... Spurs are 5 champs in 6 finals, so it is close. They have been to the playoffs more times (etc). It isn't outrageous to rank them higher...
MJ Bulls were most dominant where it counts, postseason. We are talking about best ever, they were perfect. MJ Bulls were top 3 best ever franchises.
Sure - but they aren't the sum total of the Bulls existence as a franchise.... in fact, one could make the argument that apart from MJ, the Bulls would be far lower on these rankings. He has lifted their franchise to their spot (according to that guys methodology of rankings) All I'm saying is that I can see where he is coming from, and can see his point
Solid list. Better than @YOLO's purely emotional position. He has a poor start so I'm hoping he's gonna improve. We'll see. He's made some solid moves that are too early to judge. I hate the guy, but I don't need to like him if he's an effective owner. Hopefully things start looking up this year. I hope you and YOLO are wrong that he's the "worst" owner so I'm gonna hold onto that. In the meantime, I agree he's a scumbag of a guy, but generally, he's proven to be an effective leader.
Says the guy making all these assumptions trying to correlate Hakeem and Ralph Sampson. You have no business referencing any of that. Foh
Because for folks like you I couldn’t careless about reposting the same explanation over and over and over that’s 5 years in the making. Like I said you’re that far behind. That’s your problem
Nice Asterisks. "MJ Bulls". You moved the goal posts. This isn't a list created by cherry picking a win streak. It's the sum total of ~5 decades. As such, the Bulls are rightfully well behind the Lakers.
