You know this how? It's been reported that he wants Paolo, but I haven't heard a word about him wanting Ivey. Is it possible you're projecting what you want? I'm guessing you don't want Chet or any white guy ever.
RocketsWire April 10th [ Ben DuBose ] Titled: "Jalen Green likes Jaden Ivey, Chet Holmgren, and Paolo Banchero as draft prospects." Banchero may have inside track because Green calls him, "one of my little bros." But he mentions that he watches a lot of Jaden Ivey. I remember when he said this and thinking Porter's probably saying, "what's up!?!" "Why you watching him!?!"
Saving the best for last, or is it worst (record) for last? Anywho, Tari, you will being wearing Rockets Red next year....or Black, or White, or Space City edition. Something to that nature.
Eason by some accounts hasn’t been having very good workouts/interviews. I think he’s a prototypical 3&D player that has sprinkled in some playmaking at times. I’d love him on the team, but what do you think about the new slimmed down Banchero playing the wing/3 alongside Sengun and a 3pt shooting rim protector? Eason in that scenario doesn’t seem to be necessary but it may just be a pipe dream that Paolo can play there.
Hopefully the chatter about Eason being underwhelming in interviews will let us stand pat and get him at 17. It would be an A+ draft to land a potential starting wing at 17.
Eason would be good at 17. I like certain aspects of his game a lot, specifically how his shooting improved at LSU, but mainly how his best games were against good competition. He's also strong enough to play in the NBA right now, and that will only get better. Very good defender. There's a lot of upside there. I don't think he will be a star, but he could play in the league for a really long time if he puts his mind to it.
If I had my choice at #17... 1st choice Mark Williams.....fits next to Banchero (of course) or Sengun. 2nd choice Tari Eason ........replaces C Wood if C Wood doesn't play team ball. 3rd choice EJ Liddell..........better PF option than 6'5" PJ Tucker or 6'4" Tate imo. All 3 choices are rim protecting rebounding types that have long wingspans and are mobile. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/tari-eason-1.html Tari Eason (21/22): 24 mins...16.9 pts..6.6 rebs...1.0 Ast...1.9 Stls...1.1 Blks... per 40-minutes: 27.7 pts...10.8 rebs ...1.6 Ast...3.2 Stls...1.8 Blks................. Tari Eason 33.4 PER (Chet 31 PER and Keegan Murray 37 PER) Tari Eason ORtg 119.2...........DRtg 83.2 Yeah, I don't mind drafting Eason, I'll take that 3&D for this team. ________________________ Banchero: Amazing 6'10" frame that dribbles and passes like Pistol Pete!! Are you kidding me? Banchero makes Anfernee Hardaway look like Mark Eaton!! Been saying it for WEEKS.....just kidding. He alrite, I'm Leary of all these cats losing weight before the draft trying to look the fittest of fit. I can't say that I blame them. One draft slot could mean millions of dollars? I see him as anything you want him on the offense: 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 (Small Ball center) Defensively I trust him to guard 4 or 5. I don't look forward to drafting him because I feel Sengun is the odd man out since I see so much overlap in their games. I have less faith in the two Center Type teams like Spurs (Duncan/Splitter) or 76ers (Embiid/Tobias Harris) than I do teams running 3-guard lineups nowadays. Just my opinion.
if we can’t get chet i’d prefer ivey over paolo, whose game i don’t see translating that well to the league. or jabari who reminds me of another smith:
Did Paolo slim down some? I missed that. That's what I was hoping for when I first started really looking into him; I was hoping he would slim down a bit and slide to the 3 rather than being a stronger guy at 4 who doesn't provide defense in the paint.
PG: KPJ/Nix SG: Green/JC SF: Skinny Banchero/KMJ PF:Eason/Tate C:Sengun(replace with Victor next season) I think we can be a playoff team after next year, KPJ,Green and Banchero run the offensive.
