I am close friends with Bob Kalsu's nephew and have met his wife Jan on a number of occasions. A truly inspirational family.
Rocky Bleier is probably one of the best examples I can think of. Drafted in 16th Rd in 1968, taking shrapnel from a grenade in his leg in 1969 (Vietnam). Although seriously injured, he recovered and helped those damned Steelers win 4 Super Bowls.
This. He was really on the cusp of exploding. His last season he lead the league in yards per attempt and total yards and 33 TD's with only 7 INT's while on a horrendous team. An argument can be made he was a top 5 QB when he last played and looked like he was about to compete with Rogers and Brady for the title of best QB. All of this by age 25. He missed his age 26 season and this is his age 27 season, and he could miss a lot of it as well. Maybe he not can play to 45 years old like Brady after not getting hit for 18 months..... but it sounds like he doesn't even accept responsibility for what he did, and that this isn't going to end soon.
And never mind the Browns effect: Just looked it up, and they've been in the bottom half of the league in passing yards for the last seven seasons -- that's some magical momentum right there.
If Baker wants my respect he’s got to tell the front office to go **** themselves if they ask him to start
He's an amazing speaker. Actually hired him to do an event and he was awesome. Hung around and talked to people afterwards too. Most head for the bar unfortunately
This was read on 610 today. I can relate to his frustration with poor ownership... https://www.cleveland.com/letters/2...son-trade-haslams-should-sell-the-browns.html I’m a 62-year-old Cleveland native, and lifelong, devoted Browns fan. Browns fans like me have endured a lot and have sometimes questioned our loyalty. Periods of despair were rooted in the frustration of witnessing ongoing failure and ineptitude. While years of missteps left fans questioning their devotion, supporters could ultimately push aside the organization’s shortcomings because, hey, it was just sports. But now, Dee and Jimmy Haslam, you have made the biggest economic and future-crushing blunder in the history of professional sports, and contributed to the degradation of countless women. Not only was the Deshaun Watson trade the worst business decision in sports history, but it also alienated sports fans globally, and disrespected half the entire population. Yes, I am one of those fans repelled by the way you have forever tarnished my team. I’m too revolted and too depressed to reconcile holding the team near and dear. You’ve forced me and countless others to grieve the loss of a lifelong love. You’ve made Art Modell look good by comparison. You’ve made the Browns a pariah. It’s time for you to sell the team, to salvage whatever remote chance there may be for it to be respected once again. Jim Ack, Salt Lake City, Utah

I believe at this point the best outcome is if the the NFL allows the Browns to void Watson's contract. Yes the Browns avoid a massive salary cap mess, but I would rather see Watson penniless. Plus without Watson those picks that they gave the Texans become more valuable. It would be a win win, Watson doesn't get rewarded and the Texans possibly get to draft higher than they would have. Watson doesn't care if he gets suspended if the money is still rolling in. Make it hurt, leave him with nothing, let his mom and aunties take care of him since they did such a bang up job before.
If true, that would be REALLY good news for Watson. Honestly if they suspend him any less than a full year, it'll be a bad look for the NFL.
How can the NFL hand down any punishment not knowing when this will end.......what happens if they suspend him and these keep coming up every few weeks? Its nice knowing its not really our issue but I still like to root for his demise
I’ve considered the Texans to be the worst run sports franchise since Cal took over, Browns quickly trying to retake the crown.
It's really not even a guess. If you listen to what he said in the video above, it sounded like he's saying "who knows... maybe 4-10 games" but then he goes on to say he really doesn't know and neither does Goodell.
