No question that some people only want those on the opposite aisle to be prosecuted, and that is pretty consistent in both parties.

I suppose that we could quibble over the severity of a crime or "best interest", but I have reached the point that if someone wants a position of authority like Pelosi, Trump and others do, then they deserve to pay if they break the law.

    Corruption is corruption.

I don't know any of the Biden's but my impression is that Joe Biden isn't someone that is corrupt on his own. I don't think that Biden is looking for wealth through illegal means. However, I do believe that he has an extreme weakness when it comes to his son because he has guilty over what has happened to Hunter. From Hunter losing his mother, to the brain injury, to his father working 70 hours a week.

While I understand why Joe Biden would protect his son, if he broke the law to protect his son, he needs to be punished.

Becoming a politician doesn't need to be a way for charismatic grifters to make their fortune illegally. If they want to make their money, they need to do what Reagan and Obama did - make it legally.

Biden entered politics early in his life and made a pledge then not to own any stocks or bonds. He's mostly kept that pledge and it boosted his rep inside a state that's knee deep in banking/corporate filth.

Hunter felt like it was his responsibility to be the breadwinner of the family with their standing (Biden's colleagues were making it with stocks and other investments) because Beau racked up bills with his expensive college education but later decided to serve in the military and then did public service afterwards rather than taking up a cushy corporate hand me down that comes for people like him.

I don't think it's a story that excuses any of their behavior, but that whole context is why I don't really care about Hunter unless there was some Trump-esque grift in the tune of hundreds of millions to billions in offshore money.

They are a product of the American politician class, and faulting Hunter and by extension Joe for not sleazing his way up "legitimately" (giving 200k speeches to Goldman, etc... another commonly popular venue) is really all that's wrong with Washington and our passive acceptance of that lifestyle.

LMAO. You come in a debate thread about Trump and then jump down my throat for talking about the thread. You see me post about Watson in a Watson or Texans thread. If you don't agree fine. Put me on ignore. No need to make personal attacks. Talk about some serious issues. I've posted on many different subjects from gun reform to violence, to healthcare, and other posts including Astros and Rockets.

You guy have started derailing the thread. Are we going to start debating every politician, their kids, their coke snorting and boozing, their guns, their affairs, and their sources of wealth, or talk about the thread?

I think that makes total sense. The Kavanaugh assassination guy, should be mentioned. But it was one person with mental illness who called 911 on himself, didn't hurt anyone, didn't try and overturn a democratic election, didn't pre-plan with groups involving thousands of people, didn't storm a government building, didn't include injuries, etc.

They aren't two equally consequential events that deserve equal attention in the media. The Jan 6th insurgence was a much more consequential happening. I think it is probably worth a mention in the news, and I saw it mentioned. I don't really think it warrants attention on the Sunday shows.

All you talk about is Trump. It's blatantly obvious. You can keep lying to yourself though if that helps.

You got a problem with talking about Trump then stop coming in Trump threads. You coming in here calling me a liar is unnecessary.

You're being dishonest. All you do is do GOP and Trump stuff while saying "I used to be GOP". Nobody is buying that. You talk about Trump nonstop. Probably moreso than his supporters. I got a challenge for you. Go into one of the draft threads and have a conversation on who we should pick instead of being on this section 24-7. Bet you can't. Tag me if you do. L

You have no business calling me a liar when I said I voted for Trump and Republicans in the past. Why in the hell would I tag you to have a conversation with me after you called me a liar? I talk about Trump because he is still lying about losing. I talk about Trump because he is still a relevant opponent in the next election if he isn't convicted of treason, or any other felonies. I talk about Trump because he has ruined that party by getting so many others to continue spreading his lies.

I've already been in draft threads plenty of times but I won't be talking to you in the future about anything. I prefer to talk to people who can carry on a conversation or debate without making personal attacks on me because of my opinion.

So we have mountains of evidence about Trump’s knowledge that the election wasn’t fraudulent and that in the words of his AG claims it was were “Bullsh^t”. The amount of deflection being done by some and trying to argue about the lack of coverage of other topics show how solid the argument is that The election wasn’t stolen and Trump was trying to illegally cling to power.
