Excepting his 5 game cameo in 2019-2020, this pretty much was the worst shooting year from the field of Steph's career including his rookie year, so I'm not really surprised he didn't do great on this particular analysis. It's amazing to think that averaging 25/5/6 on 60% TS% is a down year, but that's how historically great he has been.
Lebron entered the league as an all time great passer? I don’t think that’s the right timeline of events
This is just not true at all. Last year we had one player at the top that people billed him as, that was Cade. Nobody was saying that about Mobley or Green, the former was an elite switchable big but nobody was saying he had handles or the ability to dribble drive or any playmaking abilities as for Green, he was just athletically gifted didn’t check any of the other boxes, iq playmaking etc those were deemed areas of improvement for him. The year before A. Edwards same, nobody billed him as an elite playmaker or having high bb iq. it’s weird how Bancheros elite playmaking ability is perceive as a negative to some because there’s no room improvement since he’s already so great at it. Too many people fall for the “POTENTIAL” part and ignore the sure thing.
I'm not saying a straight Lebron to Paolo comparison is valid, but that have similarities. And again.... regardless of not Lebron was compared to Magic, he didn't enter the league as an all time passer as he developed and get better at it over time.
What does that mean? Nobody in the country got more assists in high school basketball history than Lebron?
I haven't forgot or think Paolo's passing is advanced..... But does that mean Lebron got the most assists in high school history? I'm just confused by that claim/statement and the one about Lebron being an all time great passer when he entered the league....
Royce White once said his game was most like Lebron’s at Rockets’ training camp. Take these comparisons with a grain of salt… … and #BeWell.
LBJ's #1 skill as an amateur was always his vision and playmaking Obviously his Olympian physique and athleticism was foremost in making him a generational prospect But skillwise he was always a special playmaker It was his shooting and defense that lagged behind until he developed them in the league
People thought he had the ability to become an elite passer when he entered the league. 2003 Scouting Report: Strengths: Smooth player who makes things look effortless no matter how difficult... Shows unbelievable ability when it comes to passing the ball. Simply has that uncanny court vision and knack for seeing plays develop before they occur... They were correct.
I think at this point Clutch is trolling everyone hoping Paolo falls to 3. Or he’s still sad we didn’t trade up for Cory Kispert and instead wasted the opportunity on Sengun.
But did Lebron leave high school as a national all time assist leader as claimed? I’m not saying Paolo has Lebron’s passing, just that Paolo is a true PF with great playmaking for his size.
