I'd rather pack courts than pack guns to tilt the system back, but that's just me. I mean most of my egalitarian beliefs is to prevent riots and **** like this from spilling into society. Ultra-wealthy are too greedy. Ultra-poor too listless and destitute. Idiocracy or purge, here we go! Apparently she adopted 2 from Haiti and the youngest has Downs, which she knew before hand. I checked their ages and the youngest was born in 2012. She was mostly a professor until she became an appellate judge in 2017.
we’re criticizing peoples’ family choices now? I believe two are adopted. How many adopted children do you have? on edit: invisible man beat me to it
It is completely irrelevant to the topic. But yes, I will criticize people that choose to have 7 children. My one aunt and her family had 12. It was a different time and I love all of them.
that came out too harshly. But she is Catholic, and believe it or not there are Catholics (and others) who still believe it is a gift to bring children into the world
I don't know, really. These days, zero is a good number. Adopting is always admirable. In a more micro analysis, I like the idea of one or two. But also the idea of five. One or two is manageable. Five is a built in clan and support group. In a macro sense, the world doesn't need more humans. The fewer the better. I do find it gross to have people mindlessly celebrating large families, regardless.
Always interesting - and scary and sad - when (leftist) teachers say this (I just saw a leftist German teacher being quoted on Twitter with a very similar statement). Makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside to know that these are the kinds of people teaching our children.
So have plenty of other people who don't have 7 children, but I give her props for adopting two of them.
