Both Bregman and yuli needs to pick it up. Pitching hasn't been lights out and slowly coming back down. Maldy and castro need to bring their avg up to 0.220.
Broadcast mentioned earlier how horrible his 3 starts vs Seattle have been: 17 runs (2 UER), 27 H, 7 BB in 13 IP. Against the rest of the league: 8 GS, 16 ER, 49 H, 3 BB, 52.1 IP So there's that to be hopeful about.
As good as this team is.... there's no way they should be this predictable. Seems like we know how these games will end by the 5th inning.
I like Seth Martinez. I know there isn't room for everybody but I hope he sticks around and finds some sort of role on our team.
Feast or Famine: 11-0-7-0-0-2-6-6-1-7-1-6 runs scored against us. Barring 9th inning magic, we're 6-6 against them. Looking above, it's easy to pick out the 6 games we won. ETA: [there was no 9th inning magic and] Seattle is averaging 3.9 R/G against the Astros 4.2 R/G against the rest of MLB ETA2: the 6 losses were started by Urquidy (3), Bad Odorizzi, Verlander, and Javier, and all of them got bombed
Glad you could get your Early Bird Special at 4, a walk to the Rec Center, Bingo with Gladys and Maude, and an Astros game all in before 10 PM.
If you have 4 f-ing dead spots in the lineup, it's hard to overcome unless the pitching is stellar. Today, it was not.
I just need 2 of these 4 things to happen and our offense will be fine: -Bregman gets back to a semblance of himself. -Jake Meyers returns and picks up where he left off. - We acquire a catcher who can hit at least league average. - We acquire a 1st baseman that can drive the ball and provide some sort of protection in the middle of the lineup.
