I’m all aboard the Urquidy in the bullpen train.

Hunter Brown is more than ready at this point.

Was he hurt in '20? Don't remember.

Correa was healthy in '21 and Pena is here in '22 so that doesn't sound all that surprising.

Urquidy is a problem that may need to be dealt with soon by Dusty and/or Click. This isn't some one-off with him; it's a trend. He has regressed and has had more mediocre/bad starts than good starts this season. I'm nervous about him pitching against good-hitting teams.

Can anyone answer why Bregman has fallen off so hard offensively? He caught the Morgan Ensberg career path.

Yordan is the only one doing anything in the lineup

he hasn’t been the same player since the scandal broke. I think it really rattled him and still does. I think its all mental with him. The juiced ball made a difference as well. I still think that the ball has less to do with it though. His whole demeanor changed after the scandal broke.

Only mechanical thing I can really point to is dropping his back shoulder a bit.

There was a recent article posted about him and his swing, but I forgot to read it. Any ideas what it said?

Multiple leg injuries doesn't help either.

He's been moving well on the bases and in the field so far this year, though, so I don't know that it's anything physical anymore.

I posted something in some other thread about his approach at the plate, and the dead ball plays into it. But one of us could make a looooot of money if we really knew how to fix him.

That's what hitting coaches are for. What the hell are they too busy with?

His ERA is above 5, and his WHIP is dangerously close to two - that's an average of two earned baserunners per inning. And look at his Savant page. You thought Odorizzi's 2021 Savant numbers were bad, Urquidy's 2022 are worse.

Bregman with another weak fly ball... something is going on. I remember the guy who hit liners constantly.
