Sadly I think Rodriguez has taken the lead in the ALROY race. Really want that draft pick.

I hate wild pitches. Lack of concentration. I know, sometimes you just lose your grip. I still don't like them, they change games.

The 9th hitter in their lineup destroyed us. That had not happened since Toronto. Pettis and Neris adding to the factory of sadness today

So apparently 2 outs in the 9th inning with nobody on has become the Astros nemesis.

The poise of the bullpen went out the window here. It's a long season.

I knew he was toast when he started publicly talking about retirement at the start of the year.

Like I said about Montero on Saturday, a crap outing was inevitable, glad Neris got it out of his system today

If Pena is in the top 3, we should get a pick right?

I'm fairly certain it's only for the winner. Pena has not been helping his case lately with his slump. Defense really should play a role but I know it doesn't.
EDIT: I think if the rookie places top 3 in either MVP or Cy Young voting, then the team also gets a pick.

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...ue-baseball-labor-agreement-details/49919225/

    SERVICE TIME

A full year of major league service will be credited to players who finish first or second in Rookie of the Year voting in each league by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America, as long as they are among the top 100 prospects by two or more of Baseball America, ESPN.com or MLB.com and did not spend the full season on the big league roster. The top prospects who finish top three in Rookie of the Year or top five in Cy Young or MVP earn teams additional draft picks. The union has the abliity to eliminate this provision during the agreement.

Top prospects who finish first or second in Rookie of the Year voting will receive a full year of service time. Teams who promote top prospects to the Opening Day roster will receive draft pick compensation if those players finish in the top three for Rookie of the Year or top five in MVP or Cy Young voting.

Thank you Buck! Since he was on the Opening Day roster, that means he is eligible.
