Hmm, Clutchfans, which problem would you rather deal with, Kyrie or Westbrook?

great player, I don’t think he’s a good fit on a developing team. Also, COVID is not going away and availability is an underrated skill.

Wall and Ben Simmons just sounds like a fantastic pairing. LMAO

I want no part of Kyrie. Incredible player who between injuries and his undiagnosed mental disorder always seems to miss half the season.

No way the Nets trade Kyrie for Wall or Westbrook without significant assets coming back. It's just not happening.

The only thing to get from Scalabrine's comments is that maybe there's someone out there that values John Wall.

    https://www.sfgate.com/warriors/article/Colin-Cowherd-suddenly-has-nice-things-to-say-17152245.php

So what changed between four of the best years of Green's career and 2022? Did Cowherd have an epiphany about the importance of a team-first defender? Did Draymond's postseason absence the last few seasons make Cowherd forget his earlier qualms? Or is Cowherd perhaps reticent, to put it politely, about critiquing his new colleague? We'll leave that for you to decide -- but it's certainly worth remembering the next time Cowherd goes at another star athlete.

Scal just sez ‘if he were Brooklyn’.

If I were Cleveland I’d sway Mabley for Tate. After all, I love Tate and believe him to be both underrated and a misfit on Rox’ roster. EM? Sure, I sez it. Call me OldMan Scal.

Watching Kyrie play last season, hes actually unbelievably good and that was after missing all of that time. . He may not be the type of guy that wants to put it all on the line and play no matter what like most super stars in this league do, hes in the top tier of super stars in the league, he gets knocked to the second tier just due to availability. He seems to be better than Ben Simmons as far as wanting to play. If you can get him for John Wall I think you do it. If it doesn't work he will be easier to trade than Wall or Westbrook were. Kyrie was taking over prime time matchups and dominating on national TV and that is without even going through the regular practices and just inserting himself into the lineup late in the season. He has the right mentality when he is on the court and playing. Not sure if it is possible to give him an incentive filled contract like Embiid and others received.

    Realistically,

    1. Which teams would want to trade for Kyrie?

    2. What would those teams be willing to trade for Kyrie?

    I can see possibly

Lakers - Russ and a couple firsts.

Clippers - Jackson, Kennard, one of Covington/Morris, 2023 pick swap, and 2028 pick..

Kings - Fox, Holmes, #4 for Kyrie and Big Ben
Kings - #4/Holmes/another contract for Kyrie

Jazz - mix and match Gobert, Butler, Conley, ....Mitchell and balance with picks

Knicks - #11, Dallas 2023 pick, trash contracts

Bulls - whatever assets they get for Lavine to a third team in a S&T to Nets for Kyrie

    Timberwolves - Russell and picks

Wizards - Beal for Kyrie and picks

Rockets - Wood, EGo, Tate, Nwaba, #17, KJMartin, Matthews, 2027 or 2028 first round pick swap rights in their favor with Philly pick they own

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now ask yourself which teams would Kyrie want to play for?

My answer: The West Coast teams. Not Utah. Possibly the Knicks, Bulls, or Wizards.

    So there you go:

    Lakers
    Clippers
    Kings
    Knicks
    Bulls
    Wizards

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now ask yourself which deals would KD and the Nets want to take for Kyrie?
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    And then finally,

What team is going to be willing to give Kyrie the most money?

All this is why drafting Ivey at 3 (if he's still there) and trading Wood/Ego/Tate into cap space/trade exceptions and creating a lot of cap space in the process is the ideal play for the Rockets if it is possible. Because that is what OKC is going to do if Ivey is there at 4. They're going to offer Sacramento SGA. And that will be ideal for Sacramento. Then OKC can go way under the cap while probably landing the two best players in the draft (Chet and Ivey).

Correct....and I say load up on the youth talent train before the Thunder start
receiving our first round picks (which I believe begin in '24 summer draft)

The Thunder can build a long window of dynasty thanks to Clippers and Rockets

I agree. If you can get him for Wall you do it. And you either find somebody else who will give up picks for him or you buy him out before he ever gets anywhere near our young and impressionable roster.
