Question the questioning of my questions You mentioned a slider while trying to defend your position when sliders aren't typical intent pitches
Huh? I mentioned a slider because that's what hit Yordan above (thankfully) the knee. You hit people on purpose with fastballs, not breaking balls. A slider is a breaking ball. You hit them on purpose between the ass and middle back.
Your sentiment contradicts Pressly's own words and actions. Ryan's refute was he didn't go "up and in". You responded to post #448 that mentioned the same thing without fully addressing what you read. Props though for refuting Taylor's offense level during the same post My overall stance remains the same. Pressly was most likely throwing Taylor during a 4-run game no runners on with 2 outs with FBs -- same pitch and location you've already mentioned were "intent pitches" -- after hot-hitting Yordan was hit prior
Am I reading this correctly? You believe Pressly was throwing at Taylor? I guess it's theoretically possible, but given his reaction and the circumstance in the game, the logic makes no sense. One can easily see how 1 runner on base led to a chain of events that could have unfolded extremely poorly for the Stros. There was no need to play games there, and you can't convince me Pressly had intent of throwing at Taylor, no chance in hell. Also, it's not 1996 and baseball isn't the same tit-for-tat shenanigans that routinely happened in the past. I just don't know how you could watch that and come away thinking he was trying to bean him.
My guy. Switch the jerseys and your entire post would be opposite No shame. Everybody's thoughts would be opposite
Inside the wild ejection of Astros closer Ryan Pressly (houstonchronicle.com) What in the hell is that sentence supposed to mean?
Jerry Meals is a joke of an umpire too. I'm surprised Ed Hickox (who's solid) hasn't beat him and Vic to death on a drunken Wednesday night outside a steakhouse in Tampa
NO SUBSTITUTIONS, NO KETCHUP, NO STEAK SAUCE I love it. Menu looks nice, the "Dinner for 2" thing is a hell of a deal. Their house wine pricing is interesting. Looks to me like it's $11 for a glass and $15 for a bottle.
Yeah... we tried to go there on our anniversary but I failed on reservations. I'll give you a review when we make it.
