    It takes time???

Come on man. He's 27. Will be 28 when the season starts. And BTW it does not take time to be a "locker room guy". This is not about time, it's all about attitude. The right one means everything and all you have to do is watch him play to see his sux.

Dude won't even hit the open man with an outlet pass when they're hustling up the court. Look I can dribble! Wants to cry foul nearly every time he touches the ball. No need to get back on D.

His attitude has sucked everywhere he's been. The absolute wrong attitude to have around this young squad.

That should be across the board. If you have a bad attitude your gone.

If he had a better attitude, this post wouldn't exist.

Ultimately it will come down to economics, he will want more than the team is willing to pay for a one way player at a position with young talent like Sengun and Banchero? already under contract.

Wood is not a bad player he is just a dumb ass.

If he can realize that all he needs to do it rebound, set picks, and play passable defense Rockets would reward him and the fans would love him. Wood needs to stop trying to be Durant.

Did he? I remember a similar fan encounter when Harden was outside a grocery store and Harden's friend told the fan to kick rocks.. and so did Harden.

He has no say in it so it doesn’t really matter. This would be news if Stone says I hope Christian Wood stays a Rocket. That would be infuriating.

He did alright for TS% given his usage.

    Fernando - 67.1 (limited games / 3rd unit)
    Queen - 61.9 (limited games / 3rd unit)

    Gordon - 61.4
    K. Martin Jr. - 60.3
    Mathews - 60.2
    Wood - 59.5
    Tate - 56.7
Nawaba - 56.7 (limited games / bench unit)
    ---- league average ----- 56%
    Sengun - 55.2
    Green - 54.7
    Schroder - 53.9
    Christopher - 53.4
    KPJ - 53.1
Garuba - 51.0 (limited games / bench unit)
Nix - 48.0 (limited games / bench unit)

    sauce

Offense was fine, defense was lacking. Not best potential available, but technically the leading scorer on the squad last year with 17.9 ppg. (Green is 17.3 ppg closely behind).

Think the fan base is ready to move on, problem is some of the young guys are not there yet.

Nix is so low. I wonder what Stone see in him.

That’s too much. I would do amyhat for a cornerstone draft pick but that’s not available this draft after we pick

That is still somehow not good for your team on offense.

(See KPJ and JG when Wood plays...)

Wood is a borderline All-star based upon his numbers, we can agree on that. The locker room accusations I think are just that. Players have differences all the time, look at Olajawon and Madmax. You handle it and move on. Whatever happened didn't linger. If it had, he would have been traded by the trade deadline.

My whole point is, fans are going to cry about something and there is a player on every team that a fan base what traded. And the majority of those fans are people who NEVER picked up a basketball.

Wood and all star do not correlate. Never did, never will. Folks and their love for empty stats losers still don’t learn. This notion of wood needs time is pure nonsense. He is who he is. And it’s definitely not some star

To be clear, he's 26, not 27 and last yr was his 2nd yr playing full-time as a starter.....so, yes it takes time!

Your issues with Wood all seem team wide; want pass the ball to the open man, dribbling the ball up the court and not getting back on defense. I've seen periods where all of the Rockets have those issues, so it's not just Wood.

I've said all along, until they get a LEGITIMATE Headcoach they don't need to trade anyone, because they don't know what they have.

On the contrary. If he was on a better team producing the same numbers, he would be an All-star. i.e, Andrew Wiggins of the Warriors.

He was a throw away in a trade, now he's playing in the NBA Finals.

That’s nothing but an assumption and that says nothing but confirm he’s a role player. Wood and Wiggins are absolutely nothing alike. The argument for said player would be so much better on a better team is lazy and lame. It’s a lame duct excuse for a bad player you want to think is good. You know why a player needs a better team to be relevant. It’s because that player isn’t that good to impact winning in reality. In this case you’re talking about a former #1 pick. Let that sink in.

wiggins simply benefited with the fan vote
playing for GS. He wasn’t chosen by those who matter as an all star.

Most of the players elected as All - Stars are role players; Middelton, Levine, Murray, etc. Only a few players are actual Alphas that can carry their teams. And yes, good players on your team does make you better....I think that should go without saying.

It doesn't matter if you're a number #1 pick or a UDFA if you can play, that should be it and I happen to think Wood is better than Wiggins and just as you said, he benefited by playing with Golden State, i.e better players
