dumping any assets 1 year into a rebuild for a dipshit like kyrie irving is laughable. There is a 0% chance the rockets are considering that.

if we get kairee and keep our #3 then we'd have a #1, #2, #3 on our roster.

No need for Kyrie as #1 when we already have Wall. I am craving for a #4 just to stick it to hakeem94.

It’s interesting though. With Kyrie and Westbrook potentially on the move, and Wall actually looking the most desirable of those max PG’s on expiring deals, the rockets may finally be in a position to get something of real value for Wall - or as a facilitator of a deal. I could see potential trades with LA, Washington, Brooklyn, or even some mystery team like the almost Indiana deal at the deadline.

I hope Stone’s dealmaking prowess (that he’ll definitely remind u about) actually comes to fruition. After all, he’s been making deals since he was a teenager;)

I’m not saying you are wrong just pointing it out. What has Wall played like 65 games of the last 400+? And, getting paid for ALL of them lol

I should clarify if he doesn’t play by next deadline that would probably be about 65 out 400+ games.

that just means there’s still tread on his tires ;). Actually his stats from the previous season are pretty decent. But I hear you.

Sounds like the kind of rumor those who want a team full of nothing but SG's would like.

We’ve been rebuilding since 1994….Rockets would be wise to trade for a superstar like Kyrie. Follow the Kings if you just want to watch losing basketball the rest of your life.

ONLY reason I wouldn’t trade for Kyrie is that Brooklyn will want Wood, Tate, #17 pick, and Wall for him.

No, In fact, Les eschewed that route when we should have. In addition to that, if Yao doesn't get hurt against the Lakers, we win it all. And, to top it all off we went head to head against the Worriers, a great dynasty (as much as it pains me to say it) ... who needed Adam Silver AND a CP3 hammy to prevent AT LEAST one title.

we have one of the best winning percentages of any franchise since our last championship. We’ve consistently been relevant and have fielded a few super teams and several hall of fame players. We had a real shot at a championship during the Yao era but injures hurt us. And we all know how close we came to beating Golden State. So please, for the love of god, don’t compare us to the kings. If things had broken differently we’d have another banner hanging from the rafters. Now we have a new franchise player and are moving in the right direction. We are not the kings.

This is interesting and may give insight into Stone and the organization’s thinking. There were reports couple years ago that Rockets were searching for an All star level type player. And remember they wanted to retain Oladipo. They have have refused to give up EG and reportedly value him to be a vet leader. All this points to the org’s value on experience, mentorship, and leadership to pair with Green and their young core. And after what CP3 has done with the Suns the thinking may be that they want a quicker rebuild. If they execute a trade for Ayton, somehow get Kyrie, and draft Banchero, this could instantly be a contending team for 7-8 seed and a team on the rise. Very intriguing to me.

Really intriguing to me. While you can’t always trust media reports, past history and reporting gives us a little insight and act as indicators to intentions. Rockets value for experience and leadership post Harden may explain their desire to acquire Irving, which makes sense in a swap with Wall. Rox valued Gordon, Oladipo, and even Schroeder’s leadership and guidance. This may explain their desire for Kyrie. Combine Irving’s acquisition with other trades and/or free agent acquisitions, the org may build a foundation for a playoff contender even if Irving leaves in 2023. Much is talked about building a winning culture and this could start with acquiring Irving and possibly Ayton with the addition of Banchero. This gives the Rockets a solid starting 5 with Sengun, JC coming off the bench. Very interesting possibility
