Blame Biden for all the surging prices in the world. Oh, one thing you can't blame Biden on is the Republican's refusal to work with him on stricter gun laws. Another mass shooting tonight. It's getting worse and worse. The blood is on the hands of those reckless and NRA blood money Republicans as long as they refuse to toughen up our gun laws.
It's the people that commit shootings. Usually Democrat-aligned voters by the way. Guns actually just sit there unless someone picks it up and uses it. Clear thinkers know that limiting gun ownership to criminals, police, and government is a recipe for disaster. With time, you may be able to see this.
You really are pompous and condescending. A clear thinker? Right. I'd say people not only in this country, but in almost every developed country in the world know your logic is anything but clear thinking. Facts don't lie no matter how you try and twist them. Across the 29 countries in the study, the U.S. accounted for almost 97% of the firearm deaths among children 4 years old or younger, and 92% of firearm deaths for those between the ages of 5 and 14. Five years ago, just under 4,000 children and teens up to the age of 17 were killed or injured by gun violence, according to the Gun Violence Archive. By the end of last year, that number was up 43% to 5,692. Some 1,560 of these children and teenagers died. So far in 2022, at least 653 children and teens in the U.S. have been killed by guns. Another 1,609 children and teens have been injured by firearms, according to the archive. https://www.npr.org/2022/05/28/1101307932/texas-shooting-uvalde-gun-violence-children-teenagers The risk of homicide is three times higher when there are guns in the home. Not only that, but 58% of shooting deaths in children and teens are homicides. https://www.healthychildren.org/English/safety-prevention/at-home/Pages/Handguns-in-the-Home.aspx. Women in the US are 28 times more likely to be killed with a gun than women in other high-income countries. Every month, an average of 70 women in the US are shot and killed by an intimate partner, and many more are shot and wounded. Nearly one million women alive today have been shot or shot at by an intimate partner. Approximately 3.7 million American women alive today have been threatened with a gun by an intimate partner. Access to a gun in a domestic violence situation makes it five times more likely that a woman will be killed. https://everytownresearch.org/report/gun-violence-in-america/
@deb4rockets found the problem with inflation. Its all those damn guns in this country forcing their way into peoples hands and randomly shooting innocent people. Now we understand why Biden is ignoring the economy and focusing on banning those scary looking AR. Please dont tell Biden handguns are responsible for the vast majority of violence.
Aren't you funny. I'm sure if Biden had his way he'd have handguns banned too. No way in hell would gun loving Republicans approve that. I know I wish they were banned. You really shouldn't make mockery of gun violence if you give a damn about how dangerous homes are with guns in them, especially for women and children. Then again, maybe you don't care about them. Actually, you 3 guys and are now on ignore. I don't need to converse or discuss anything with men who like to bully or ridicule women, and can't have a respectable debate. Middle school antics just aren't my thing.
Gas at costco has been pretty steady around $4.15 the last few weeks. I definitely wait in the line for it. I did stop pumping premium for now.
It is just recommended. The forums say the premium gives better mileage and performance. I havent noticed a difference in torque.
Just for future reference: Octane rating of fuel has nothing to do with improving power or torque. Every motor has a 'compression ratio" which is the ratio between the volume of the entire cylinder and the volume of the combustion region when the piston head is pushed all the way to its maximum up position when all the air and fuel mixture is at its full compression. The higher the ratio, the more compressed the air and fuel mixture is. Higher end motors typically have higher compression ratios as they can generate more powerful explorations which generate more torque. The problem with higher compression ratios is that the more compressed that air-fuel mixture becomes the higher probability that the compressed mixture will combust prematurely without the need of the spark plug. In fact that's how diesel engines work as they have no spark plugs. Combustion just happens from sheer compression. But you don't want that in a non diesel engine. You don't want premature combustion or else the timing of your pistons will become off and then your motor becomes unbalanced which is what engine knocking is. Higher octane fuel actually reduces the reactivity of the compressed air-fuel mixture to the point where it will only.combust with the assistance of the spark plug which prevents engine knocking. So long story short. The only thing higher octane fuel does is prevent engine knocking for high compression motors.
I have . My car specifically recommends premium and I noticed the better mileage and the engine slightly smoother . I use 93
@Os Trigonum Lol deb4 going after @Trader_Jorge That’s like vegans protesting that dude who won the hot dog eating contest
wut? modern turbo engines cut boost/timing when given low octane to prevent preignition. On these it totally improves power, they have a knock sensor.
Yes modern engines with ECUs do prevent engine knocking when lower octane fuel is used. I don't know how that constricts anything I typed.
