Putting a segment on TV generalizing an entire generation's intelligence based on TikTok video with fake interviews is actually pretty funny
It actually isn't a bad topic (without this r****ded pretentious presentation) Long-term trends in reading and mathematics achievement https://nces.ed.gov/fastfacts/display.asp?id=38 There are test stats showing the rate of improvement has slowed/halted in recent years, and even some that show there has been a decrease in certain areas for particular age groups, which I don't believe has ever happened since they started collecting this data. That being said the percentage of Americans who have completed high school, and college (at least pre-pandemic) are at all-time highs. Today's kids are, of course, testing higher and graduating significantly more often than Bill's age group did... which really sh*ts on his whole premise of being an anti Luis Armstrong thinking all the kids he sees today will never learn as much as he knows. Lots of neat stats on this website https://www.nationsreportcard.gov/ltt/?age=9 We have teachers on here who could probably give some good insight on the matter, I do wonder how this recent development in test scores compares to trends in other OCED countries, which could more accurately point to this being a generational issue or just an American issue (kids in Europe use tik tok) I haven't checked through it yet.
not as dumb as those who have been too afraid to call out Morey for kicking a young/proven baller Goran Dragic out the door in order to sign Jeremy Lin to a poisoned-pilled FA contract, in the process, rationalizing that Lin was comparable to the likes of Iverson, CP3 and LBJ then several years later, bribed the Lakers w a first and second round pick to take on Lin's expiring contract
