Since America decided to be indifferent towards school shootings, logically hospitals are the next one where shooters want to create headlines and become notorious. It won’t stop. Gun control is the only answer

yeah, all this talk about schools is just a distraction from the real issue

mass shooters still have plenty of options whether it’s a movie theater, concert, festival, night club, grocery store, restaurant, hospital, etc

Hell, they have a "robocop" at Methodist Hospital, which patrols the halls and makes sure everything is OK.

Maybe they can just swap him out at their hospital for a UGV with a 20mm autocannon and ATGM's.

My favorite solution is having veterans guard high risk places for free. Instead of providing them with the medical attention they need, we should put them back to work with no pay.

This is getting getting insane. I'm so sick of the GOP refusing to accept the fact that we need much stricter gun laws in this country.

What will they say now? Better hospital security. Better grocery store security. Arm the waitresses at Denny's and arm the cashier's at grocery stores. Arm the teachers, professors, doctors and nurses. Wear bulletproof vests when you go out. Put bulletproof doors in all public buildings. Ugh.

Ideally VA would already know who really needs to be helped and who would help to feel needed.

Tis the only logical and reasonable response when our nation trends towards Third World Country status.

Looks like it took a bad guy with a gun to stop the bad guy with a gun.

We just need more bad guys with guns and it’ll all just work itself out.

That and hardened hospitals. And armed receptionists. The irony would be if it was a mental health hospital.

What we really need is an Overhead Gun Dispenser in all public locations/buildings.

In the event of active shooting, the guns would drop down, hang out from the ceiling, ready for use, much like oxygen masks drop down in a plane in case of cabin depressurization.

Not that difficult to install. One gun per overhead sprinkler.
