link doesn’t even say how many people were killed with hammers specifically since it’s in a category with other blunt weapons like clubs or bats

So why should we be using stats from 2011 or saying the year doesn’t matter?

How can u even make that point when hammers is in a category with all other blunt force causes of death? Hammers could account for 40% of those deaths for all we know. So u don’t even know how many people actually died via hammer.

Are parents supposed to be more concerned with their child dying via a hammer at school than they are from a gun? Is that the right wing rationale these days.

 

And "Mass hammerings" isn't really a thing.

This is part of the more misleading logic. Yes a hammer and many other things can be lethal but if a hammer were so good at killing people I doubt anyone in that NRA convention would consider putting down their firearms and take up hammers for self-defense.

Hammers and firearms are tools. One of those is specifically designed to kill.
