improving on D is not a guarantee…Rockets could be handing out an efficient 120 to the opposition for years to come with that frontcourt
Nothing is guaranteed, but I’ll bank on the 19 yr old improving. Ayton was an awful rim protector his rookie season, and he was 20.
Hmmm…. Two play making big men in Paolo/Sengun with Green & KPJ(the best catch & shoot 3point player in the league) Add a 3&D wing and we run this league
Dropping from 3 to 7 would be mind numbingly stupid even if we received Dame. Lillard wouldn’t fit the timeline at all and would hurt our guards development. Falling to 7 would take us out of the running for even Murray and Sharpe most likely. No need to overthink this we are setup perfectly. Banchero is going to come in with a huge chip on his shoulder after going 3rd and he and Green are going to wreck the league in a few years.
This is getting spicy! 1.The kings don’t want ivy and want one of the big 3 probably Banchero, they know None of them are dropping to #4 2. Okc doesn’t mind Ivey at 4 if the kings are willing to throw an unprotected 2023 first round pick 3. Houston is not interested in trading down if Banchero is there at 3, hence the Kings talking to Okc if the kings do trade up I think it’s for Banchero but do the Rockets take Chet at 3? Is probably why Bobby think Portland trades up. Really hope stone stays put at 3 and ignores the 2023 nonsense and takes either Chet or Banchero
In the end, the Rockets end up being a winner. They get either Jabari, Chet, or Paolo. I hope they don't trade out of it and commit in getting one of these dominant players to help the future core.
Allegedly none of his teammates showed up to his last birthday party, so I question his leadership, despite his talent. If the Magic and Thunder pass, I'd stick to our draft board and go with our expected pick even if Chet is still available. If he drops, it might suddenly set everyone off their game. If everyone panics because Holmgren's still there and falling, maybe we can target the rookie GM in Portland, get Chet, and trade him back to Presti for all three years of this team's future back and David Putney.
If he would've taken Mobley over Cade and Green then Presti is just a moron who lucked into Durant and Westbrook and has a fetish for 1st round draft picks.
Still just so glad we didnt get 4 or 5. We'd have gotten a good player and all but we've been lucky these last two lottos.
Rumors from April said rockets would take Banchero over Chet even with the #1 pick.. I am 100% Sure stone wanted Banchero for a long time now, and it's why he was extremely Giddy when we were revealed to have the 3rd pick because Chet/Jabari should be gone so he can pick his guy.
I don't see a way for Portland to offer anything worth #3. I don't think that's a "rumor" just sort of spit balling to be fun on their part. I would give credibility to the notion that OKC and we would consider ivey at #2 and #3. if Presti trades down to 4 for Ivey, SAC is definitely targeting chet to pair with sabonis. if stone can scare Presti into thinking he'd draft ivey at #3 it opens the door for us to trade up to #2 or Presti decides to select ivey second leaving chet falling to 3rd. either way the ivey rumors are great for the rockets.
Because of their similar positions, where Banchero excels Tate in basketball fundamentals, plus hes younger and bigger
