in states where these laws have been put into effect, that hasn't happened. If it did, you might find more support for universal background checks.
#1 I thought you were being sarcastic . #2 if he broke the law and grabbed a gun and stopped a crime what’s the penalty , would the law really have stopped him ? Or what he did just be illegal after the fact ? #3 This case in particular isn’t a good illustration of why the law would hurt ... he shouldn’t have had time to get there anyways , the other p*****s should have taken the shooter out #4 isn’t there already pretty high support for universal background checks ? I remember seeing 80+ from “the hill”. #5 in terms of practical gun laws , I’d rather see age limit increase and some special sort of permit or ban on guns not handgun or shotgun . For the record I don’t have a gun and idk if an AR-15 is actually an “assault rifle” . Seems close enough to me tho ... and I have played counter strike .
for the most part, people don't understand what's involved with universal background checks. In fact, most people don't understand firearms and/or firearm laws
New York has legally required background checks for private transfers of firearms. The law is routinely ignored. Morale of the story: don't pass laws you have absolutely no way of enforcing.
that your argument of it being against the law doesn’t mean that it couldn’t happen . The border patrol who drives 40 min to respond to a shooting near his home is worried about not filling out paperwork first ? that the example is a bad one entirely because he shouldn’t have had that much time to get there anyways I think it’s a pretty bad attempt man you disgrace Sam Dekker
the point remains, if there were a universal background check law then Border Patrol Stud Guy would have broken the law.
maybe . But are you also sure there are no good-Samaritan laws / exceptions that would have covered him . what does breaking the law mean if no one was willing to charge him ? Seems like a weak point . he prolly also broke the law speeding to get there or drove through a red light . Maybe since he was border patrol those don’t apply . Maybe since he’s responding to an emergency the borrowing clause would have a provision for that I’m about 95 percent sure that you aren’t sure . also , not related (tangentially) but how come he had to borrow a gun in the first place ? Aren’t BP packing ?
Maybe Huge if true actually, we could figure out how to breed the momentum of that gun phobia and its powerful consequences. A man of your wit and creative concern could put in work
i mean the cops didn’t have an AR, and the shooter did. If they had breached the door and he was waiting, I suspect he could have and would have mowed down at least the first several cops easily, if not more/all. again, my view is that they should have gone in.
