I've been messaging back and forth with my mom in Singapore and she's messaged me in the middle of the night here about how shocked she is by what happened in Uvalde. Stuff like that is unthinkable in Singapore.

I love the US and still try to have hope but on a morning like this if I had kids I would be packing for Singapore.

I had a boss that spent several years of his childhood on a sailboat with his parents and two brothers in the Caribbean. He always said those were the best years of his life.

I'm open to something like that but it would have to be a big ****ing boat. Maybe an abandon oil rig?

    Heidelberg, Germany

    Thomastown, Ireland

Or Scotland...somewhere on Skye, probably Portree or maybe in Glen Coe although that might be a little too remote.

How dare you sir, where is MURICA on that top 10?! :p

Seriously, the thought crosses my mind more and more these days. Wife is open to moving to another country too and she's conservative. Would miss the hell out of my family and friends though.

That **** means less and less as your own family grows. Your extended family outside of your house are adults and can make their own choices, and you can always help them move to your chosen destination.

Looking at costs to ship my ****, including one car, overseas in a 40ft container. $10-20k. Seems reasonable.

    • Agree with not smoking in public. Poison yourself (and not me) in private.

    • Anti-littering laws are good.

    • The anti-gum laws are strange. Why?

    • Some seem very draconian and dystopian

My first reaction would be Norway because my sister-in-law's family is there and supposedly there's a sizable Asian population over there. I'm not opposed to the cold and they have pretty good food from what I've heard.

If I had to make a choice based on only the places I've been to (London, Paris, Barcelona, Venice) I'd pick Barcelona without hesitation.

The USA has major problems, our populace is not all that educated and is gullible, we have too many who worship guns, when the 2A was written during the 1700s by men who owned other men, wouldn't let women vote and would be SHOCKED at the sight of a dishwasher.....maybe they didn't know everything and the constitution should not be taken in perpetuity, I mean when it was written it was a single shot - muzzle loaded ball......not a semi or fully automatic weapon.

And, we don't value our African American citizens equally, our politicians particularly on the right are paid off by corporations, and we spend far to much of of money on the military when our roads and infrastructure is failing.

We are a country in major decline, whether we like to admit it or not.

For me, I would move to a Nordic country, or perhaps Panama in Central America......

    Find somewhere that has healthcare.....

I’ll never forget a hot French blonde in my life when I was around 19-20 that was so into me at work (we both worked at same place in airport in Houston) and at college - the stars were so aligned. But she smoked. Deal breaker

In the end it worked out for me for someone else instead that shared my passions at the time better.. I married my wife and had two or three genetic offspring so it was fate but I simply couldn’t get past her habit

I never watched TPB until about 2 weeks ago. I was looking for something mindless to watch while playing guitar, Its pretty enjoyable and i'm not sure why. it's not overly funny, but its like It's Always Sunny in the way that you're just WTF are these guys going to get into next.
