Assuming Myers is worthy of getting the majority of the starts after coming back from a major injury, McCormick and Siri are currently auditioning for the backup spot. The other is going to Sugar Land until September callups or getting traded.
Siri will get traded when Meyers returns for an unheralded middle reliever throwing a 3000 RPM, 92 mph fastball.
Siri has surprised me. When MLB changed the ball, they wanted the game to be more like watching Jose Siri when Siri makes contact, but less like Siri when he misses.
If they truly believe in Meyers, McCormick will be the one traded. I think McCormick should be playing everyday right now, but Siri upside is significantly Higher, Even if he is less likely to reach it
Brantley is a free agent after this year. I expect Astros go with a defensive OF reminiscent of those that patrolled the Dome.
Cool story bro on Myles Straw. I was working at the galleria at a luxury clothing store in college in 2018 and Derek Fisher and Myles Straw came in. I recognized Fisher right away cause he scored that World Series run, greeted him and told him I was a fan. He said “this guy plays for us too” Straw was dressed in jeans way too baggy and a shirt that was visibly old. I told him I heard he was a speedster and proceeded to show him the suits, we picked out a light grey suit priced around $1000. Right before checking out he got cold feet and put the suit on hold, said he would come back with his dad the next day. You could tell he’s never made a purchase like that before and was out of his element. He made sure multiple times my information was with the suit so I would get the commission. He ended up coming back 20 mins later and just purchasing it there, super down to earth and humble guy. Fan for life
