HTF is Perez's ERA less than half of his 10-year career history?

    No...1.64 ERA isn't good, it's fantastic.

I have. Pitchers can have a career year, especially in a contract year while using MLB's special dead ball.

Do Bregman's stats in prior years mean he's actually been great to start this season?

This isn't his first contract year

His increased success this season dooe not correlate proportionately with the offensive regression

    Maybe he's "figured it out".

Yeah, same way Bonds did at age 35

To Bonds credit though 1) he was already awesome beforehand and 2) his "surge" wasn't anywhere near Perez's level proportionately

I was too little to understand at that time, but 1999 also stings.
If we trade Elarton + for Clemens. And Alou doesn't tear his ACL. And Ausmus re-signs, I believe the Astros win it all that year. I know a lot of ifs but since we're talking hypotheticals. Would have been a nice way to send off the Astrodome.

Every fantasy has complaints and "what if's"

It's always worse when said base has experienced "underachieving"

Angels drop their 4th straight. Sucks we aren't winning but at least they aren't able to catch up.
