Since Banchero is pretty much locked into the 3rd pick (whether that's a pick Houston will make or another team via trade), I thought it'd be fun to look back at the big men that have left Duke for the NBA since the Kryzewski, specifically the ones that got picked in the lottery:

Danny Ferry, 2nd pick. Played 13 seasons. Peak season (Win Shares based): 1996-1997 when he averaged 10.6 points, 4. rebounds and 1.8 assists

Christian Laettner, 3rd pick. Played 13 seasons. Peak season: 1996-1997 when he was named to the All-Star team, averaging 18.1/6.6/2.6

Grant Hill, 3rd pick. Played 18 seasons. Peak season: 1999-2000, his last fateful year as a Piston, where he put up 25.8/6.6/5.2, All-Star and All-NBA

Cherokee Parks, 12th. Played 9 seasons. Peak season: 1997-1998, 7.1/5.5/.7

Elton Brand, 1st. Played 17 seasons. Peak season: 05/06, his 2nd and last All-Star selection, 24.7/10/2.6

Shane Battier, 6th. Played 13 seasons. Peak season: 05/06, last year with Memphis, 10.1/5.3/1.7 but will always be a member of the No Stats All Stars team

Mike Dunleavy, 3rd. Played 15 seasons. Peak season: 07/08 for..Indiana??? (don't remember that), putting up 19.1/5.2/3.5 and actually playing all 82 games

Luol Deng, 7th pick. Played 15 seasons. Peak season: 06/07, 18.8/5.3/7.1 before getting ran to the ground by Thibs

Sheldon Williams, 5th pick. Played 6 seasons. Peak season: rookie year, 5.5/5.4/.5 and didn't get better after that.

Jabari Parker, 2nd. Played 7 seasons and counting? Peak season: 16/17, 20.1/6.2/2.8

Jahlil Okafor, 3rd. Played 6 seasons. Peak season: rookie season, 17.5/7/1.2 and, IIRC, one of @Codman 's favorite

Brandon Ingram, 2nd. Played 5 years and counting. Peak season: 19/20, 23.8/6.1/4.2

Jayson Tatum, 3rd. Played 4 years and counting. Peak season: this season has been pretty good; 26.9/8/4.4

Marvin Bagley III, 2nd. Played 3 years and counting. Peak season: probably rookie season, 14.9/7.6/1.0

Wendell Carter Jr, 7th. Played 3 years and counting. Peak season: probably this past season; 15/10.5/2.8

Zion Williamson, 1st. Played "2 years". Peak season: last year when he destroyed the league at 27/7.2/3.7 before he got hurt.

RJ Barrett, 3rd. Played 2 years and counting. Peak season: 20/21 17.6/5.8/3.0

Why is he locked in to #3.

He is being mocked at 1 and 2 in various mocks.

No way she would have been with him if she wasn't already gay.
