Trading up with NO makes a lot of sense if you give them Gordon and Wood and 17 and probably another pick. Would get you in front of SA in case they covet him and there is an outside chance Sharpe falls that far too. You would think NO would want Wood rather than a rookie to go along with Zion, McCollum and Ingraham. They are primed to make noise next year.

Looks like NO has a large trade exception via Steven Adams. Could we just send them Wood without taking back salary?

Portland willing to give up #7 for win now player.

#7 may be too early for Eason, but it bypasses all the other interested teams between 10-15.

Then trade the Bucks pick and all of the Nets assets and Gary Bird and the 7th pick for the 1st pick
*which gives you a very young team causing you to suck next season with 2 more rookies and you draft Scoot

    Scoot
    Green
    Jabari
    Paolo
Sengun (Sengun wins MVP 2026 because he averages 18 assists a game and the rockets go 73-9)

    bench
    Christopher
    Garuba
    KJ Martin

I think Eason is a bad fit next to Sengun and definitely with Banchero.

Nice fit next to Chet or Jabari.

KPJ/Green/Jabari/Eason/Wood would be fun to watch.

Eason is the penultimate 3-D player.

He fits on ANY team with all players.

Just like almost every legit 3-D player.

Swap Paolo for Chet then I'm down.

    Scoot
    Green
    Jabari
    Chet
    Sengun

    Or even Scoot for Wembanyana.

    KPJ
    Green
    Jabari
    Chet
    Wembayana

Rockets need to get rid of Green and Paolo and build around Eason and Sengun.

There, i said it. Don't be mad. Someone had to mention the elephant in the room.

Upside is that he should not be taking any mid range shots, like at all.

Going and finishing left is my biggest concern, should be his priority in offseason.

And he will have to fix that shooting technique, Lucas will help.

But rather focus on what he does well. Eason is best at defense>offense, stifling iso defense, switch defense, finishing at rim, getting to FT line and forcing turnovers.

Also creates space with 36% 3P.

Like Garuba both are high IQ high energy with 7'2 wingspan but with even more vertical pop.

Wood and Nwaba fit in with Adams and a small filler. Give them 17 too. The 8th pick could be a big return for us, if Keegan Murray is gone by 7. That would leave Sochan for us. AJ Griffin probably too. I'm only interested in Griffin, if he's truly fit for the long haul. Mathurin has turned out to be a runt at 6'4". If he was 6'7", I would take him there.

Yes just like Sengun last year, you have the right targets.

Wood fits in with them. Offer them Tate and the 17th too. That's not a bad deal. I'll take Keegan Murray at 7.

Eason + Garuba would be excellent defensive complements to Green-Banchero.

Sengun + Wood can come off the bench for instant offense.

Add Bzdelik and Abdelfattah to coaching staff and this would be an amazing offseason.

We are definitely in synch here, both Garuba and Eason in starting 5.

Yes, I've been anticipating Rockets trading something for Bledsoe (then waived)

Free up money as well to go after Chris Boucher or somebody like that.
