Its actually terrible news. It means they're aiming low. Unless they plan on getting a 2nd rounder in a trade?

This is why I'm expecting a big turnaround of say 35 to 40 wins next
season. They all seem to work hard.

And most just need to work on shooting 3's (especially corner 3's) and FT's.

Who knows? Maybe they don't like him?

I share your optimism if they get a defensive PF that can at least hit consistently from the corner

Let's see Roddy's actual measurements. Is he 6-5 and 255? Very skilled but super undersized. Not sure why he would go at the top half of the second round.

Then, again in our small-ball universe, Roddy might fit right in. Tate, Martin, Roddy... what's not to like?

Does this foreshadow moving up in the draft (swap #17 + someone on our roster) and adding a later second-round pick? Or are we just hoping to stock the Vipers and contend for another championship?

I don't see how he could fall to #17.

But better playmaker and 3ball scorer.

Would love him as a Viper.

Play good defense, got good length and speed. Can switch and guard PF/SF/SG/PG. Very valuable in today's NBA.

Remember last year we didn't work out or was it talk to Alperen and traded up to draft him. Of the rockets want Tari they will pick him without workouts.

    FANBO ZenG.

Any chance of picking him in a late draft? Why not take a chance on him late, he did play for the ignite. Has good 3pt stroke. Would be a good 3rd string / 2nd string SF? Im sure alot of people will pass on him . Looks like he has defense and 3pt game. Probably Wang Zhi Zhi lite, who knows if he pans out, but might be worth a risk at very late late pick, if stone buys one in 2nd rd.

Agree with Sefril, Roddy gives off a Lamb vibe. BTW, Lamb was solid at RVG. But that undersized front court player does not translate very well to the NBA. Plus we already have two under sized front court players in Tate and Martin.

RVG also had a player I hope the Rockets bring to camp. Mfiondu Kabengele. Think Fernando. High motor, skilled inside, will do dirty work. Fernando has a better 3, but Kabengele is a work in progress. Hope the Rockets can retain both.
