Yes. So when you’re shown multiples of Chet creating his own offense and defending on the perimeter, you should shut up. Right?
The Banchero buddies have no objectivity. It’s hilarious. Use a couple samples of defense to prove he’s a good defender but are shown videos of other prospects and their flashes mean nothing. Stats only mean something if it favors Banchero (not many do). It’s kinda weird.
Paolo can show some defensive flashes, but the question doesn’t get asked about why he doesn’t do it consistently or if he has the alpha mentality. Lol But Chet can defer to his teammates and then when shown flashes of elite offense, it’s if he has it why doesn’t he show it more. Hypocrites. But what more can you expect from Verbal and Jiggylie
This is false. Even The Man has to pass off at times. See Jordan to Paxson and Kerr. Look at our own Houston Rockets. Dream was clutch but we needed Horry, Elie, and even Kenny Smith to make shots that saved us at times. You need more than one and ideally, more than two.
Do you just go to the internet book of deflection? “You’re triggered, no you’re triggered” As I’ve said many times before, your narcissism knows no bounds. You don’t mean anything to anyone except maybe your mother. You don’t affect anyone, you have our pity. I’m sure it’s tough being you.
Arguing about Chet and Paolo is like clapping with one hand at this point, just relax and draft whoever falls to 3.
But for some reason, anything I say about Holmgren or Banchero causes you to feel some kind of way? Interesting.
Completely understandable. I’m actually pretty agnostic as all 3 have individual strengths and weaknesses, so drafting 3rd is a good spot imo. If worst case is Banchero that’s a huge win for the rebuild!
You think there would be more talk about players that might actually still be on the board like Ivey or Sharpe, but nope! Let's just keep having a debate over a choice the team won't get to make. Throw in plenty of personal insults for good measure.
First of all, JJJ and Turner are completely different players. One is a wing and the other is strictly a traditional or stretch 5. And they both differ from Chet in terms of efficiency coming out of college. Chet is superior to both in efficiency and versatility. Chet has ability to to play 4, small ball 5 and in time, traditional 5. While both Turner and JJJ are elite defenders, Chet is still better than both at same time in their careers. And Chet is head and shoulder better than both offensively. This really should not be that hard. https://www.tankathon.com/players/compare?players=chet-holmgren--myles-turner--jaren-jackson-jr ADVANCED STATS PER Chet 31.3 > JJJ 26.9 > Turner 25.5 OWS/40 Chet .153 > JJJ .120 > Turner .101 DWS/40 Chet .144 > JJJ .115 > Turner .111 WS/40 Chet .293 > JJJ .241 > Turner .212 ORTG Chet 127.0 > JJJ 120.6 > Turner 112.6 DRTG Chet 78.7 > Turner 86.3 > JJJ 86.4 OBPM Chet 7.5 > JJJ 4.4 > Turner 3.4 DBPM Chet 7.5 > JJJ 7.3 > Turner 6.0 BPM Chet 15.0 > JJJ 11.7 > Turner 9.3 Per 36 minutes PTS Chet 18.9 > JJJ 18.0 > Turner 16.5 REB Chet 13.3 > Turner 10.6 > JJJ 9.6 AST Chet 2.6 > JJJ 1.8 > Turner 1.0 BLK JJJ 5.0 > Chet 4.9 > Turner 4.2 STL Chet 1.1 > JJJ 1.0 > Turner 0.5 TO Turner 2.2 > Chet 2.6 > JJJ 2.9 FOULS Chet 3.6 > Turner 3.9 > JJJ 5.3 FG% Chet .607 > JJJ .513 > .455 3P% JJJ .396 > Chet .390 > Turner .274 FT% Turner .839 > JJJ .797 > Chet .717 TS% Chet .691 > JJJ .647 > Turner .556 *And Chet accomplished all of the above on lowest usage.
I'm not a Jabari advocate, but he is basically bust proof. At the very least he's an elite 3&D forward with good offensive upside. His floor spacing will open up any offense. He's only 18 but already has the side step three, step back three, and one dribble pull up in his arsenal which will make it really hard for defenders to close out hard on him. I don't even like midrange pull ups but it keeps defenses honest. Holmgren's body might more closely resemble Kristaps Porzingis but I think Jabari's offensive game is the one similar to KP's. His finishing around the rim and post up ability are a bit rudimentary, he doesn't have advanced handles or passing ability. He's going to rely on others to make him his most effective on offense. That being said, KP is a career 20ppg scorer on decent efficiency so if Jabari can do that and be a more swtichable defender he's going to be golden.
Look at the stats you posted yourself, JJJ is not far behind in any of the advanced numbers, and hasn’t become much of an impact player in the NBA. But you also forgot to mention, he put up those stats almost a full year and a half younger than Chet! Chet is an old freshman which people seem to always leave out.
