He’d be okay as a backup center if you’re moving something reasonable like EG or trading back from 17 and land him in the process.

What is the timing on signing RFA? Before or after the draft?

For the right price, I am starting to like this. He is beginning to mature and develop something of a motor. Would prefer Turner, but Bamba might outperform Turner in his later years.

what I like the most is that he has put on a good 30 pounds and his blocks have doubled in 2 seasons.

I was talking to my buddy today about him. If they can put a package together and give him his money, they should. He spaces the floor and gives the team an inside shot blocker at 24 yrs of age.

Has the basketball defensive instincts of a nun.

Really really long but it doesn’t matter when you react slow and are 10 feet from where you are supposed to be.

I would rather trade or buy a second rounder and take one of the numerous shot altering centers that will be available… there are lots of good ones in this draft.

Nope. Sengun is the starting C for the Houston Rockets.

    Vastly underestimating the teenager. #Dripped.

Sign Mitchell Robinson. Fits the age group and I think he could be a defensive stud.

He's really improved and his range is an added bonus. Dude shot 38% from 3pt range which is better than pretty much anyone on the Rockets and he's 24.He also blocked almost 2 per games. He's become a stretch 5 which opens the lane.

People pretending like we have cap space?

Wall / Gordon / Wood make 76 million dollars.....

You've been around long enough to know the cap is just a traffic cone you can move around. You can trade Woods to Orlando for a sign and trade for Bamba and say a 4 year deal at 15m per. You can also trade Wall and Gordon if you so choose and upgrade the roster. This team needs to be pushing the play in game next year. This is the worse stretch since after Moses was traded. The arena is empty which means no parking, hot dog or beer sales.

No cap space, he isn’t good and the Rockets have multiple picks in a draft rich in rim protectors.

It’s hard to be this wrong, but OP somehow managed.

... and you've been gone long enough to have missed the last 10 years of NBA (and Rockets) ownership economics.

    Hard disagree.

The Rockets, thus far, have played their rebuild close to perfection.

They need 3 straight years of absolute best lottery odds, lock in their 3 core players, and then walk into free agency with huge dollars to spend.

Spending big dollars on a mediocre player in Bamba without even knowing who your third core piece will be, makes no sense.
