This series should be a bloodbath just like Boston- Milwaukee was. I guess I will say Heat in 7 because of homecourt but if it goes the other way it wouldn't surprise me either. The status of Smart/Horford going forward is huge for how this series plays out.
well schitte. this explains all the bad calls mergady and yao used to get when i went to games. tho i was yelling from way up top near the parking lot
are they the top picks? you tellin me 2 TOP PICKS cant sweep a top 30 pick, a couple mid teen and bunch of undraftees!!! lolololol analytics where are you?! but but something something about big market miami and free agents PS and what about lowry?
James Harden has led the league in Free Throw Attempts in 7 out of the last 10 years. Jimmy Butler has never finished inside the top 10 in FTA’s until this season where he finished 10th. Even then Harden finished 5th this year. What exactly is the problem here? Could it be that Butler is absolutely balling and Harden’s sorry ass got unceremoniously eliminated again? Harden fans always love hating guys that are a threat to him. LeBron, Curry, KD, Giannis, now Butler, healthy Kawhi etc. It’s not hard to give props when they’re due.
oh how so? did redraft happen, and they suddenly become the top picks? because if it did i sure have missed it well, you live and learn, you live and learn... except for the top-picks maniacs
Furthermore Butler was 12-17. In addition he had 4 steals and 3 blocks. Not only was he killing it from the field despite the fouls he got those calls cause he was being aggressive in both sides of the ball. When Harden shot he shot poorly.. when it mattered the most he wasn’t aggressive, looked disinterested and didn’t even attempt shots so how TF are people gonna complain about his free throw attempts? It’s becoming laughable to compare bum ass Harden to Butler.
I come here looking for some insight on the Celtics-Heat game, and all I find is the guy who rants about top picks and the guy who rants about the decline of Harden. Serves me right, I guess.
Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened.
Don't worry about missing it. You miss a lot of things. How so, you ask? Because it's playoff basketball, rotations are set and you're used to everyone being available. It's not about the top picks vs the bottom picks or whatever agenda you're trying to push. If Boston lost Tatum for game 1, they'd be in the same boat as losing Horford and Smart. If Miami lost Herro/Bam, they'd be in the same boat as losing Strus and Vincent. Horford/Smart aren't as good as Tatum and Strus/Vincent aren't as good as Herro/Bam - but losing someone suddenly, who has been a part of the rotation up to this point, is always tough.
Unless it's suddenly losing a ball-dominant "leader" of the usual rotation. Suddenly everyone can touch the ball, everyone can become heroes, it's almost like relieving a year-long repression, so they tend to blow guys out for a few games, say something PC like 'guys stepping up', before settling back down to earth. This has been a very consistent pattern.
I still think boston wins this. They will learn from game 1 mistakes. Boston still could use a real PG though. Getting smart back will help though hes not a pure pg
