    I haven't bothered speaking on this much because we didn't know where we were picking, but I'd rather trade the pick than take Paolo. I think he's going to flop. I seriously don't care about his size because if he can't use it to defense what's it even worth? He can't shoot threes. And when I watch him play I am reminded of Carmelo Anthony after he lost a step or two but without the 3 ball. He's not very fast. And for that reason I think he will be who other teams target on switches for his entire career. Those kind of guys get benched in the playoffs. And some of them fall out of the league entirely in no time at all. See Jahlil Okafor, who, coincidentally, also played at Duke and went #3 overall.

    I'm no professional scout so I could be wrong, but I just don't see it.

    Not sure why you guys are hating on Paolo but he’s a much better prospect than you’re caring to admit.

    his size is similar to Tatum and has a 7’0” reach. He’s bigger than Bam. Not only does he have the size strength and wingspan but he’s fluid with the handle. He makes great live dribble passes and can operate as the screener or handler. He’s used to hitting the tough middy and has a bag deep enough to get into to confuse the defense. Speaking of his defense, it is vastly underrated. He was one of the smartest rotators in high school and was always in the right spot at the right time. He’ll play sound team defense. Dukes whole philosophy was to funnel to Williams. Lastly multiple highly respected members of the draft community have him as the number one prospect. Positional size, fluid handle, live dribble passer, tough shot maker, team defender…. Why are y’all hating lol?

    I really can’t understand the Paolo hate… I’d honestly be shocked if he was there at 3. I think a lot of people are going to eat crow on this one.

    Also, I'll add that I am honestly glad we didn't get the #1 pick because the odds of that happening two years in a row seem pretty astronomical and I want a top 2 pick in next year's draft for Wemby or Scoot.

    And, yes, I think we'll still be bad enough to be in contention for a top 2 pick next season. Though I wouldn't be surprised if we weren't the worst record in the league again.

    jayson tatum also went to Duke and was drafted #3, and I seen posters on here say Paolo during his pre lottery interview compared himself to other Small forward.
