    My question exactly.

Likely handles - Silas system encourages swiss army knives on offense.

But the 3 (just like 4 and 5) should not be pounding the ball like Luka/Cp3/Harden.

Like Wood at the 5, Jabari should have more of an advantage offensively at the 4. Unlike Wood at the 5, he can play defense at the 4.

I'm not the only one saying this.

Banchero like all the prospects has flaws - his flaws include lack of defensive effort/urgency/consistency and inefficient offense/poor shot selection.

    MINUSES
    • Defensive effort fluctuated in high school and has absolutely evaporated in college. Every game, he has instances when he doesn't even bother to contest a shot or rotate to help. He’ll sometimes lose track of his man and he could be better about boxing out more frequently. Banchero shoulders a lot of responsibility on offense, so he might be conserving energy.

    • While he doesn’t lack confidence in his jumper, it can be inconsistent. His improvement since high school provides reason for optimism, but he still needs to make progress to be effective in the NBA.

    • Shot selection could stand to improve. Sometimes he drives with a plan to shoot rather than reading the floor and waiting to make his choice. It’s a coachable flaw.

    Jabari can defend 1-4 imo.

    I was listening, I didn't ask them.

Two people now have said that he will end up being a starting power forward in the NBA and not a small forward.

I try not to ask too many questions honestly, I mostly listen.

My guess would be his handle and his style of creation.... also he can be a little boxy in his movements sometimes.

I would assume he can play some 3 or 5 in certain matchups but they clearly think his big minutes are coming at the 4.

That doesn't knock him out of the top 4 for me, but it does make me consider him differently as it pertains to the Rockets because I would like there to be some positional flexibility for the Rockets going forward in the draft.

I wouldn't want him guarding 1's and 2's for long, but agree with the idea you can effectively switch him and keep him from being exploited defensively, which is a huge issue in the playoffs where everything is about match ups.

Some guys just eyeball it and dismiss stats.
Some guys fall in love with stats and miss the actual player.
Some guys fall in love with potential and dismiss the stats and the play.

    Be holistic.

Also, I think Liddell's floor is decently high. I don't think he'll be an All-Star but he could be one of those guys you really hate to play against. Mid to late round value.

I agree, stats without context (watching actual games) is like blind man describing elephant by just feeling its trunk.

If the world operated in absolutes where efficiency stats ruled all then Keegan Murray would be the unanimous #1 pick since he offers that PLUS high volume 1st option scoring/leadership AND great defense.

Yet everybody is pulling out their dick for someone else based on "projections" thats funny!

Yep, Keegan beats every player in almost every important advanced stats for offense (except ORTG & TS% = Mark Williams).

    This known.

Guess who doesn't show up even a SINGLE time on this stats leader list?

Hint: it's not Chet (leader in 3 categories)

Did you just miss this part and to say it evaporated is the height of hyperbole.

How does instances and sometimes mean your effort has evaporated? That makes zero sense.

As for the rest, I have said those things myself.

    Draft Analysis by Kevin O'Connor.

    His words.

Rockets fan complaining about a Brooklyn collapse? That team had more talent this year and got swept.
