Did experts do anything to make people stupid enough to believe using a ripped mask to play a woodwind instrument was what the experts advised?

What an idiotic tweet. No expert ever suggested that.

I'm guessing that this was simply a way to skirt a mask requirement at that particular place and time. They probably HAD to wear a mask so by doing this they are complying with the requirement while being able to play their flute.

Makes sense that is why someone might do that to their mask and play the flute. But that individual doing that shouldn't make anyone lose faith in the experts.

The "experts" most likely shouldn't have had the mask requirement in place. I still see a lot of confusion about masks, also around healthcare professionals. But 99 % of the time, it's really theater, and everyone knows it. Everyone takes the masks off while eating, then puts them on again a few minutes later, etc. I was just at an event full of healthcare professionals today, and about half of them were wearing masks half of the time.

Also a lot of weird fist bumping instead of hand shaking then still hand shaking after all, etc.

    I guess it's understandable.

I think you know that had we enough vaccines to distribute and administer globally we’d be done with this…

Yep... they meant to say "widely available". The vast majority of Americans were unable to get vaccines as of the day Biden took office.
