Javier, Valdez, and Verlander are better pitchers. Astros are choosing to go with better pitchers instead of cuddling Odorizzi's feelings.

Edit: I expect Odorizzi will be back in rotation soon. I think Odorizzi is mostly an Astro to keep the workload down for the other starters. Urquidy's track record gives him more leeway, but he's the only starter off to a bad start.

I like the old NO divisions and NO inter-league play.

I honestly did not expect six healthy starting pitchers this far into the season with the short spring.

I've always counted Javier as a Starter in the bullpen rather than a BP arm.

Free steaks at Houstunna's house for the 10 game win streak since 2017 count celebration! What?

    That's all I could comprehend. ;)

I think the Astros expected another starter to go down as well. I expect the Astros will flip between 5-man and 6-man rotation throughout the year.

I fully expect Odorizzi to relieve a starter. Javier is a good candidate as a tandem, but if Framber struggles, he is available early.

I've been trying to figure out how they would let JV work on 4 days rest and let the successful 5 days rest for the rest of the starters continue. But I couldn't figure it out.

I just hope JV isn't over doing it too early.

It's been so long since I've had a good steak I've forgotten what they taste like. I've had a few I expected to be good, but weren't.

Sorry, but you might need a bandage after this.

Either we have had the deepest farm system in the history of baseball or Dusty must have been doing a lot more right than wrong if we have lost multiple 100 million dollar+ players and not really missed a beat.

The team has been hemorrhaging talent since Hinch, but Dusty is somehow a problem.

I just am flabbergasted by the Dusty hate.

I'm still recovering from the price thirty years ago. I think it was $80 back then. The one on Westheimer.

So wait, did he actually remove Odorizzi from the rotation?

Why the **** should we know who will be pitching? To give the other teams time to scout and set their lineups?

Carry on looking stupid questioning a manager who has 2000 career wins.

I can't believe the am still surprised of the hubris of Joe Fan.

No personal feelings do not always play a role in a decison, its called being a professional and a adult something you obviously are not.

It’s not an official series thread unless Castor27 starts it. It’ll come soon enough.

The difference is winning BECAUSE of Dusty verses winning in SPITE of Dusty.

It is a serious breech to start a series thread by anyone else. Like talking about a no-hitter in the 7th breech.

And nobody knows what the difference is, which is my point.

So you think this team the last 2 years has been so talented it is winning in SPITE of Dusty?

So losing Springer, Cole, JVG, Lance means nothing?

It was very talented before Dusty arrived. The Farm was full and coaches like Strom were set. But he didn't mess it up as much as he could have. Does that make him great?
