Harden is so washed.

 

To be fair, he's been doing this THE WHOLE playoffs. He would play well in the first half and he would just disappear in the second half.

 

Yeah, the athletic decline is clear. But, like, why is he not shooting?

 

I’m fairness he didn’t play 82 game seasons until much later in his career - he was probably in his late 20s before he started getting 30 minutes a game. Agree it’s amazing he is still doing his thing at this point but what makes him special is that he never gives up more so than his raw defensive skill. He really is a testament to hard work paying off if you are always working. …dude also is a swag master - one of the coolest dudes out there.

 

Rockets may have had two really bad seasons but they counting their incoming draft picks like

Had Joel E. played in every game, would the 6rs be advancing today?

man, Embiid has been my favorite non rockets player since he was a rookie but he has been injured EVERY playoff. Would philly have beaten miami if he didn't tear his finger or get elbowed? Probably 80-85% chance, but damn you just can't count on him

 

Maybe. I mean he never hesitated to Jack 3s in the past, so I don’t know why he’s grown a conscience tonight.

 

Honestly the biggest thing for Harden this off season . . . .
1. His Contract - I am interested if he will indeed opt out.
1a. Will he take less
2. Will he get his health and mind together

Which is why it’s so amazing that people hate them both equally.

 

Cause I guess.....he's sucked ass all year(for his standards).

 

I can see Harden coming back focused and in good shape next season. He's got a good opportunity at a chip and plus I believe it's a contract year?

Anyways, I thought this team looked talented enough to win it all this year, before injuries and then probably lack of chemistry/focus brought them down.

But a lot of things have to fall in place for them to get back to serious contention.

Both Embiid and Harden have to stay healthy, which is a huge if. And for Harden, age is increasingly becoming a factor.
Morey's got to get better role players and shooters and build up that second unit.
And if Green is out, that's another big hole to fill.

Things could work out next year, but I have my doubts.

 

Can Harden pull this look off though? Doubtful
